Reddit is offline – live updates on the massive outage
Refresh
Even though the add a new Reddit post feature appears, the system still reports multiple errors and ultimately nothing is posted. I think all those anxious Reddit users should take to Discord to post updates.
As of 4:36 PM ET, Reddit’s homepage failed again. Clearly, the problem, whatever it is, is so important that Reddit’s developers are probably playing a game of whackamole with critical failures.
Although Reddit’s homepage seems somewhat functional, Reddit’s own status checker reports reduced performance for most of its services. No word yet on the cause of the problems. and yes, ‘popular’ remains offline.
Today, perhaps coincidentally, was also the day of US News Anchor Katie Couric’s first-ever Reddit AMA. It launched at 2pm ET, although we’re not pointing fingers.

On the plus side, you can still view part of Reddit’s homepage.
Some pages, like the all-important Popular, remain blank.
Reddit appeared to recover at 4:13 p.m., but instability remains.
