Shannon Beador settles $75K suit with John Janssen after ugly showdown with his new love Alexis Bellino
Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador and her ex-boyfriend John Janssen have settled their $75,000 lawsuit.
The Los Angeles-born Bravo star, 60, and her former boyfriend, 64, filed legal papers on Nov. 15 seeking an “unconditional” dismissal of their ongoing lawsuit over the next 45 days. People reported Tuesday after reviewing court documents titled “Notice of Settlement of Entire Case.”
Janssen filed suit against Beador last March over the $75,000 he loaned her, alleging she breached an oral contract and committed promissory note fraud in the transaction.
Janssen told the court that Beador asked him for the money in 2022, which he paid in two installments: a $40,000 bank transfer in January 2022; and a $35,000 check he gave her in May 2023, according to People.
Janssen, who dated Beador from 2019 to 2023, said in legal documents that Beador used the previous payment to get plastic surgery.
The situation was complicated by Janssen’s engagement to Alexis Bellino, 47, who starred as Boyfriend on this year’s Bravo series.

The terms of the settlement between the exes have not been made public.
The case was settled ahead of a possible trial, as both sides filed legal documents asking for a jury trial on November 7, the outlet said.
Beador and Bellino clashed in the second part of the Bravo series reunion episode that aired Thursday.
Beador told Bellino that she had falsely accused her of lying, saying she had held and maintained her spot on the hit reality series for more than a decade.
‘I’ve been working here for ten years. I took your job 10 years ago and I’m still here,” Beador said.
Beador also minimized Bellino’s current presence on the series, reminding her that she is “a friend” and not a prominent cast member.
Bellino defended himself: “It’s still a job, Shannon… I’ve been on TV for fifteen years, Shannon. Five different shows, okay?”
Beador mocked Bellino and said, “Oh, you’re a TV star,” prompting chuckles from the other cast members.

Earlier this month, during the show’s 18th season reunion, Beador said Janssen rejected her $70,000 offer to agree to a non-disparagement clause that both parties had to adhere to.
Bellino previously said the reason her fiancé didn’t make the deal was to protect himself if false accusations were made against him.
Janssen had previously said on the Bravo series that he was reluctant to take “legal action” against his ex-girlfriend, but time constraints left him with no choice.
“My hands were tied because I was days away from exceeding the statute of limitations to legally do anything,” Janssen said.
Janssen added that he had proof that Beador knew the money was loaned to her and not given to her.
“Shannon sent me an email admitting it was a loan, so the comments about these being gifts are patently false,” he said. “Shannon has an interesting relationship with the truth.”
Beador discussed the issue with Tamra Judge and Heather Dubrow on the Bravo series last month, saying that she needed money “right then and there” and that Janssen said he wished he could give her a low-interest loan. Beador suggested to him that he was in a financial position to finance her.

“I hadn’t been on a date in a year and so I went on a date and I met a lot of very interesting men on that show, so we’ll see,” she told US Weekly earlier this month. ‘I thought, “Oh my God. I’m just going to have fun. I’m not going to meet anyone.”
“Well, I did meet people. You’re going to see it. I have to tell you it’s a very good show.’
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo, and shows also stream on Peacock.
