Jackie ‘O’ Henderson says what we’re all thinking and lashes out at Australia’s obsession with rules: ‘A joke of a country’

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has launched an impassioned tirade against Australia’s obsession with strict regulations.

Her rant began when she and her co-host Kyle Sandilands discussed far-right political commentator Candace Owens being banned from Australia on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.

Owens’ visa cancellation has kept her from five scheduled live speaking events next month.

She has previously expressed outrage over her controversial comments on Israel, the Holocaust and LGBTQIA+ issues.

Discussing the ban, Jackie focused more generally on Australia’s apparent need to introduce a slew of strict rules into society, saying it has “gotten out of hand.”

“I’ve been thinking about this, it’s been on my mind a lot lately. I think the government is implementing so many rules in our lives now,” Jackie shared.

“So many rules are passed and we have no say in our lives and decisions.

“The more this continues, we will become a joke of a country as we are told every step of the way what we can and cannot do.

“I just think it’s getting to a point where it’s getting a little out of hand!”

Kyle, 53, then chimed in, admitting he’d been thinking the exact same thing for years, and accused Jackie of not listening to him the last time he spoke about it.

He said, ‘I’m pretty sure I brought this up about twenty years ago and you pooped me, when they stopped everyone smoking on the beach and I said how ridiculous that is because the beach has the biggest ashtray of nature.’

But Jackie wasn’t entirely convinced of his position, adding: “Okay, you’re not helping my argument here, that’s not the argument I made.”

Jackie went on to discuss “cancel” culture and urged people to simply avoid engaging with famous personalities they may not agree with rather than have their shows canceled.

“If you don’t like someone, don’t go to them,” she argued.

‘Don’t listen to the show, don’t watch the TV show, if you think Chris Lilley is too politically incorrect with his humor then don’t watch it, but stop trying to ban people, stop trying to make a rule every little decision we make in life.’

Jackie’s tirade against Australia’s rules comes after Owens called Immigration Minister Tony Burke’s decision to ban her from the country “a petty act of vandalism”.

“What you’re really seeing taking shape is that people don’t want me to be in front of an audience,” Owens said on her podcast.

“We all know what happened in Australia, and that’s the story this year: I’m not comfortable with the death that’s happening in Palestine.

‘The determined punishment I received for not turning a blind eye to this was intimidation.

‘I have accepted that. That is a much easier punishment than what these children endure every day.’

The Candace Owens Live tour was set to kick off in Melbourne on November 17, with tickets priced at $95 for reserved seating and up to $1,500 for a pre-show VIP dinner with Owens himself.

“Join us for an exciting evening with Candace Owens, the outspoken and fearless American conservative social commentator, author, activist and YouTube sensation,” the promoters state on the tour’s website.

“Known for her controversial angles and unwavering stance, Candace will light up stages across Australia and New Zealand with her bold and unfiltered perspectives.”

Owens’ tour promoter described the decision to ban her from Australia as “stupid” and labeled it “censorship.”

Owens became a notable figure within the American far right as one of the few African American commentators to controversially oppose the Black Lives Matter movement.

Despite inking a deal with conservative platform Daily Wire, co-founder Ben Shapiro subsequently fired her due to her criticism of Israel’s actions in the ongoing Middle East conflict and U.S. support for those actions.
