Steve Bannon urges Trump to rip apart the FBI and return Mark Milley to active duty so he can face court martial

Donald Trump’s former strategist Steve Bannon says former Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley should be put back in uniform on the first day of the new administration so he can face a court-martial.

Bannon, who was recently released from federal prison, laid out his priorities for the next Trump White House, saying he had been in close contact with his former boss and advised him on appointments.

The populist provocateur spoke with former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer in an interview to be released at 6 p.m. on Friday.

And his recent stint in prison has clearly done nothing to dampen his revolutionary zeal.

“Most importantly, I think Mark Milley should be recalled…President Trump’s first action,” Bannon said.

“I think it’s so important to reassert civilian control of the Pentagon and the uniformed services.

“I think Mark Milley should be recalled to active duty on the afternoon of the 20th and I think a military tribunal… a court-martial… should be established. Mark Milley should be charged and court-martialled.”

Milley has emerged as an outspoken critic of Trump, reportedly describing him as “fascist to the core.” And the former president has made no secret of his disdain for a man who was once the nation’s best soldier.

Bannon was a top adviser to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and followed him to the White House before leaving after a falling out.

Today, however, he is an informal advisor and a key player in the right-wing media environment that contributed to the election victory.

Just two weeks ago, he returned to the airwaves after serving a four-month sentence in federal prison for contempt of Congress.

And he made no secret of his excitement over the way Trump had selected loyalists and firebrands for his administration, such as Matt Gaetz as attorney general.

He urged Trump to shake up the White House briefing room and take down the FBI immediately.

“I think the FBI should be broken up and shut down as a federal agency,” he said.

“Go to Congress and undo it and rebuild a federal law enforcement agency, if you need one.”

He added that he had recommended that Trump purge all U.S. attorneys by asking for their resignation.

“But I think the FBI needs to be broken up,” he said.

As always, he sounded like he was relishing the looming battle in the Senate to confirm Trump’s top team. such as Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, Gaetz, and Peter Hegseth at the Pentagon.

“For people watching this show, I think you should be prepared for a firestorm this coming… even before Inauguration Day,

There will be a storm coming your way, which will actually be the approval of these guys.
