Sir Elton recently revealed that he had quit sugar to control his blood sugar levels after battling health problems.
But his dramatic change in appearance has also led to speculation about whether he may have been taking popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.
With a source reference In touch: ‘Elton’s sudden transformation has led to widespread fears for his well-being, especially regarding the risks associated with rapid weight loss methods,’
‘Of course there is speculation that he used weight-loss drugs to achieve such quick results.’
MailOnline has contacted Elton’s representatives for comment.
The singer detailed his diet adjustment on Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast, where he said it had been a “long time” since he had his favorite sweet treats.
Confirming that he has given up sugar, he said: “I can have an apple, I can have a little melon. As long as you use it sensibly, your blood sugar level will not skyrocket. But what I crave is chocolate and ice cream, I can’t eat ice cream.’
Sir Elton, who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the early 2000s, also revealed his last meal would be full of sugary desserts.

He said, “If I had a death row meal it would contain nothing but sweets because I can’t eat them now. So I would have ice cream, donuts, apple pie and rhubarb crumble.”
The Candle In The Wind singer has battled several health issues over the years, including knee and hip replacements, surgery for prostate cancer and most recently revealed he has limited vision in one eye after a serious eye infection.
In a post on Instagram, John said: ‘Over the summer I dealt with a serious eye infection which unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye.
‘I am healing, but it is an extremely slow process and it will take some time for vision to return to the affected eye.
Last month he said: ‘To be honest, there’s not much of me left. I don’t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix. I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip, left knee or right knee. Actually, the only thing I have left is my left hip. But I’m still here.’
It comes after the musician sparked health fears when he spoke out about his mortality in an upcoming Disney documentary titled Elton John: Never Too Late.
The Rocketman musician said: ‘This is the last time of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.
‘And you think about that more when you’re my age. You think about life and death. You think, well, I just want to be where I want to be right now.”
‘I don’t have to work after this tour. I get to work making records and putting together radio shows and other things, but traveling takes so much out of you.’

‘It’s very tiring. I’m used to it and I’m a veteran of it…but this is where you start thinking about mortality.”
The Grammy winner also paid sweet tribute to his husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary and Elijah for making him “the happiest man in the world.”
The Rocket Man icon told the crowd that he’s “never felt the happiness” he feels now, explaining his decision to step away from life on the road.
‘As you know, I decided to stop touring because I’m 77 years old, I’ve done everything there is to do: play. I succeeded. I’ve been there and done it,” he said.
“I still have to make room because I will still have music in my life.
“But the most important things in my life are David, Zachary and Elijah, and my family and my friends. I found Utopia and I’m so excited.”
He made the diet revelations on the Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast, which is hosted by Lady Ruth Rogers, the owner of The River Cafe in London.
She then invites a series of notable guests, including Sir Tony Blair and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, to take a seat in the iconic restaurant and have a chat about their memories of food.
