She said: “I remember many years ago there was a project I was working on that failed. We were going to start shooting, but things fell apart a month earlier.
‘And then I got this script for Euphoria and it ended up being shot. I thought, “Oh my God, thank God that movie fell apart!” But at the time we were like, ‘S**t.’ There really was a reason for all this. I try to go with my feelings.’
Zendaya won two lead actress Emmys for her role as Rue in Euphoria and reprized her character in Dune in March.

Elsewhere in the interview, Zendaya gave a rare insight into her romance with Tom Holland, 28.
The couple started dating in 2021 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
She said: ‘I enjoy working with him. He is so talented and so passionate about what he does. He always gives everything one thousand percent, even when he is completely exhausted. I really appreciate that about him. It feels quite normal. That’s how we met. Literally, in a chemistry class.’
Nicole, meanwhile, showed off her age-defying figure in a strapless black velvet Schiaparelli corset adorned with tassels.
The actress, 57, has embraced a pivotal moment in her career with her racy film Babygirl, which followed the release of The Perfect Couple.

In the film, Nicole plays a powerful, married corporate boss who falls in love with a kinky young intern.
On why she took on the role, she said: “If it is seen as a risk, I will take these risks. And if they’re bold risks, then I’ll take those risks.”
Nicole also expressed her sadness that her late mother, Janelle, was unable to see her recent success.
She was forced to leave the Venice Film Festival in September, just hours before she won Best Actress for her role in Babygirl, after receiving news of her mother’s death at the age of 84.
She said, “Her essence has been the driving force for virtually my entire life. I wish she could have seen this part of it. She was really excited to see Babygirl and she was also excited to see The Perfect Couple, but she didn’t see either of them.”
Sydney, 27, launched her own production company after starring in Euphoria, for which she earned an Emmy nomination.
She spoke about embracing the Glen Powell romance rumors for Everyone But You, which was released last year, to help promote the film.
A few months ago, Glen admitted that he and Sydney relied on their romance rumors to build the hype for the romantic comedy.
In the run-up to the film’s release, Glen and Sydney were dogged by speculation that they had indulged in an affair on set.
The suspicion carried a hint of scandal because Sydney was already engaged to her long-time love Jonathan Davino at the time.
She said: “I don’t know if we necessarily intended to ever talk about the strategy behind it. We just had very specific questions and if you say no to a question, people think you’re ab***h, so.’
In the magazine, Sydney also candidly discussed her true feelings about the nude scenes she has performed on screen.
“I’m always a big believer in nudity, in sexual scenes, if the character’s story warrants it,” she proudly declared.
The topic arose because of her upcoming Ron Howard survival thriller Eden, in which her co-star Jude Law flashes the flesh on camera.
“For Jude’s character, it was such a powerful move from him, so I wanted to cheer for that,” Sydney said warmly. “Whether it’s men or women, if it’s about the character, it’s about the character, and it tells a story.”
Sydney, who made the top 12 with Glen, said they relied on the romance rumors to promote their film Everyone But You
Editor-in-chief Radhika Jones said of the exclusive: “Surprise! It’s the Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue, a few months earlier than you expected! For thirty years, our tentpole release has been more or less timed to the Oscars.
‘Consider this Hollywood release, with its new arrival date, as the start of a long and glorious red carpet, stretching from the critics’ honors and Golden Globes, through the Guild and Independent Film Awards, all the way to the biggest night in the industry. (and of course the Vanity Fair Oscar Party).”
The Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands on November 26.
