A shocked French father returned home to find his family’s three children brutally stabbed to death yesterday.
The father, who has not yet been named, found the children, two boys aged two and 11, and a 13-year-old girl, dead in their home in Taninges, a ski town near France’s border with Switzerland, with several stab wounds. on Tuesday around noon.
The mother of the blended family, a 45-year-old woman who local media reported was suffering from depression, is currently missing and considered a prime suspect in the children’s tragic deaths, which are now being investigated as ‘intentional murder’.
She is believed to be the blood relative of the girl, 13, and the 11-year-old boy, while the father was directly related to the family’s youngest child.
According to the French newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré, she left a letter and then left for the mountains surrounding the city. What was in the letter is currently unknown.
Le Parisien reported that 60 French officers are currently searching for a hearing, supported by helicopters and diving teams.

Police are currently questioning the family’s relatives. The investigation has been turned over to the Bonneville prosecutor’s office.
The shocking massacre in the Alps comes after two small children were found decapitated in a bathtub on the French island of Guadeloupe last week.
The bodies of the mutilated siblings, aged four and 13 months, were discovered by their distressed father in their family home.
The children’s mother, the main suspect in the murder, was found naked and wandering the streets by two police officers after the alarm was raised.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the woman, believed to be in her 40s, spoke incoherently and could not explain the reasons for her actions when approached by police.
According to District Attorney Caroline Talbo, the woman was initially taken into custody and then released due to her mental condition, and has been in the hospital since.
