Because real estate prices in the area have risen steadily in recent years, it is expected to sell for significantly more than Fanning paid for it.

It was previously stated that it is expected to sell for at least $4 million, which will hopefully net Fanning a tidy profit of at least $1 million.

Fanning and his partner Breeana Randall also own several other properties in the area, which are believed to be worth around $10 million in total.

They lived in the house with their two young children, Xander and Lyla.

RealEstate.com.au previously reported that the property was one of the most viewed homes in Australia when it was last for sale in 2021.

There were nine registered bidders at the auction, with two parties entering a bidding war. The winning bidder is a resident of the area and purchased the property as an investment.

The larger apartments were expected to fetch around $750 per week, and the granny flats around $450 per week.

Fanning purchased the beach units in 2007 for $3.1 million, repainted the block and renovated the interior in a beachy, bohemian style.

He reportedly owns two other properties on the same street, which he bought in 2005 and 2006 for $1.39 million and $1.2 million respectively.

Fanning, from Sydney’s Penrith, is one of Australia’s most celebrated surfers.

He survived a shark attack during a match in South Africa in 2015, an incident that made global headlines.
