K-drama star Song Jae-lim dies aged 39: Tragedy as friend finds star’s body at his home with ‘note found at the scene’
A South Korean K-drama actor has tragically passed away at the age of 39.
Song Jae-lim, who was known for starring in the TV series Moon Embracing the Sun, was found dead at his home in Seoul on November 7, according to Seoul Seongdong Police.
His body was found by a friend, who arrived at the apartment around 12:30 p.m. to have lunch with Song, police added.
A “two-page letter” was reportedly found at the scene, reports Korean outlet Soompi. Police said there were “no signs of foul play.” Song’s cause of death is not yet known.
Song’s family said in a statement to Yonhap News Agency that they will hold a small funeral for relatives in Seoul.
The K-drama actor made his debut in the film Actresses in 2009 before rising to stardom with his role as a warrior in Moon Embracing the Sun in 2012.
Song also appeared on the reality show We Got Married in 2014.
