Fears for Dr Chris Brown’s career as rumours emerge his Channel Seven show has been axed after he jumped ship from Ten

He took a big risk when he moved from Channel Ten, where he was the presenter of a renowned TV show, to rival network Seven.

And it seems that Dr. Chris Brown could be in danger amid rumors his Channel Seven show Dream Home has been axed.

The Australian presenter, 46, fronted the new renovation series when it aired on Seven earlier this year.

Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia, a Seven insider claims the network has no plans to include the reality TV show in its 2025 line-up.

The news comes just a day after Seven’s Upfronts event.

“Unfortunately, Dream Home, which announced casting for season two midway through last year, has had the rug pulled out from under it,” the insider claimed.

‘Dream Home wasn’t the dream show that Channel Seven wanted.’

The claims have sparked fears about Dr.’s TV career. Chris after jumping from Ten, where he co-hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here with Julia Morris.

The vet then signed a contract with Seven in 2023, reportedly worth $1 million per year.

“There really hasn’t been that much noise or ratings worth mentioning Dr. to steal Chris Brown from Network Ten,” the source added.

“It was a big shock to the industry when they poached him in 2023.

‘The series was supposed to be the Seven network’s answer to The Block, but failed to captivate audiences.’

When contacted by Ny Breaking Australia, Seven said the claims were ‘baseless’.

Dream Home was by no means a ratings disaster for Seven; the premiere in May generated a total national TV reach of 2,253,000.

However, its popularity had waned as the series progressed, with the finale attracting just 807,000 national viewers.

Although smaller, the Dream Home final still beat MasterChef on Ten, which attracted 689,000 viewers that week, and Tipping Point Australia – Olympic Specials on Nine, which attracted 679,000 viewers.

Amid speculation about the fate of Dream Home, the source added that a series of other popular shows will return to the network in 2025.

They claimed There will be few other changes to Seven’s 2025 line-up, including Farmer wants wife, The voice Australia, My Kitchen Rules and Dancing with the stars all scheduled to return.

‘The networks try to launch something really loud when they have all the media brass in the room, but Channel Seven has nothing better than a Golden Bachelor or Big Brother Australia to announce which shows Network Ten and Channel Nine have really gone out to dinner. -on at their Upfronts,” they said.

The TV insider also claimed that SAS Australia, which was rumored to return in 2025, has been put on hold.

It comes after host Ant Middleton claimed fan favorite Merrick Watts would return to the show as a DS team member – which Merrick subsequently refuted.

‘No crew has been booked. No location has been specified. There is no SAS Australia, but the network retains the rights, so perhaps it will return in 2026,” the source said.

It was also claimed that Ant had had ‘very real’ conversations about the show’s format, hoping to land Home and Away star Kate Ritchie as a contestant.

“There were very real conversations about SAS and Ant pitching ideas on how changes could be made to the format,” the source said.

‘However, those ideas should never have left the boardroom. In fact, Richie and Watt’s management were not even invited to a meeting.

‘Both were asked about their involvement and bizarrely had no idea what Middleton was talking about.’
