Major blow for Struggle Street’s famous pregnant bong smoker – just months after her ex-partner died

Struggle Street’s famous pregnant bon smoker Billie Jo Wilkie is back behind bars after a violent daylight hammer attack on another woman earlier this year.

Wilkie, 32, who made international headlines in 2014 after smoking a hookah while on the toilet during her pregnancy, attacked the woman outside the Meriton Suites Broadbeach in March after an arranged meeting.

CCTV footage showed Wilkie repeatedly punching and kicking the woman before pulling out the hammer and hitting her several times on the body and then the head.

The woman fell to the ground as Wilkie fled the scene.

Wilkie appeared at Southport Magistrates Court via video link on Friday and pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm while armed, 9News reports.

Her lawyer told the court she had a sad upbringing, which contributed to her behavior.

Wilkie was sentenced to a year and a half in prison and will be eligible for parole in January.

Wilkie originally rose to fame in the first season of the controversial SBS TV documentary ‘Struggle Street’ with her partner Bob Quinn.

The pair later told Daily Mail Australia after filming wrapped that they had both been ‘crushed’ on ice during production.

Wilkie caused a huge stir when she was filmed smoking a hookah in the toilet while pregnant. She was also seen lighting a cigarette when she went into labor later in the series.

Wilkie went to jail in 2015 after being caught driving while disqualified four times, twice in one day.

She was jailed again in 2018 on multiple charges relating to a shoplifting incident with another male friend, who was not Quinn, at Westfield Mt Druitt.

Wilkie and Quinn both managed to stay out of the public eye for the next four years before Quinn died on June 26 and Wilkie moved to Queensland.
