Ariana Grande fans feel she is ‘being sabotaged’ after her major snub in the 2025 Grammy Awards nominations
Ariana Grande fans have expressed outrage that her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine, was rejected by the Grammy Awards.
Despite earning three nominations from the Recording Academy, some social media users felt she was being ‘blackballed’ for not being recognized in the Big Four categories.
This angered her fans who approached X to point out that Eternal Sunshine, with its hit songs such as Yes, And? and We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love), broke records and received critical acclaim for its lyrics and sound.
Her latest record also marked her first after a three-year hiatus and her divorce from Dalton Gomez.
Grande previously boycotted the awards show in 2019 after a disagreement with the ceremony’s producers over her set list.

‘ariana grande, one of the few artists who writes, produces and sings almost her entire life on a personal, astonishingly constructed concept album. got rejected again,” one X user tweeted.
She continued, “Eternal Sunshine is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and the ONLY one this year with multiple #1 singles and still hasn’t received any Album of the Year nominations, the #GRAMMYs remain manipulated.”
A third wrote: ‘ariana grande not being nominated in the main categories is a JOKE. eternal sunshine and we can’t be friends got rejected #GRAMMYs.”
Another said they “witnessed Ariana Grande get rejected AGAIN” and tweeted that her song, We Can’t Be Friends, should have gotten a nod for “best pop solo performance and video of the year.”
“EASY AS ALWAYS,” the irate fan wrote.
Others stated that she was “robbed” and that there were “absolutely no contenders that even came close” to Grande for Video of the Year, despite her not even earning a nomination in that category.
“She’s really being sabotaged and blacklisted anyone other than my sister,” shot another.
Her song from Eternal Sunshine, The Boy Is Mine, was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Brandy & Monica.

In 2019, Grande infamously skipped the Grammy Awards after she had a disagreement with producer Ken Ehrlich and his team when they tried to determine which songs she played.
Producer Ken Ehrlich said at the time that Grande withdrew after a month of negotiations because it was too late for her to put together a performance.
She then went to X to explain that producers would not allow her to perform the songs she wanted. Her album, Thank U, was subsequently released just two days before the Grammys.
This angered her fans who approached X to point out that Eternal Sunshine, with its hit songs such as Yes, And? and We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love), broke records and received critical acclaim for the lyrics and sound
She wrote: ‘I kept my mouth shut, but now you’re lying about me. I can put on a show tonight and you know it, Ken. When my creativity and self-expression were suppressed by you, I decided not to attend. I hope the show is exactly what you want and more.”
‘I offered three different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. no favors or playing games. It’s just a game, y’all… and I’m sorry, but that’s not what music is to me.’
