St Louis high school gunman used AR-15 with over 600 ROUNDS of ammunition for attack that killed two

A shocking video shows students escaping a classroom at a St. Louis high school, where a gunman entered the school through a locked door and killed a teacher and student on Monday.

The video, taken from a classroom, shows the chaos caused by the gunman, as the murdered teacher’s daughter revealed that her mother had raised concerns about school safety.

Using an AR-15-style rifle in the attack, 19-year-old Orlando Harris brought over 600 rounds of ammunition to the school, and police also found a notebook detailing his desire to carry out the shooting.

‘I have no friends; I have no family. I’ve never had a girlfriend; I’ve never had a social life. I’ve been an isolated loner all my life. This was the perfect storm for a mass shooter,” Harris wrote in the note.

The students waited for permission to leave the classroom, then ran into the hallway, where they were led to the exit as they told each other to “run.”

Jean Kuczka, 61, was a high school physical education teacher and her daughter, Abigail, has revealed that her late mother was previously concerned about safety after a student from another school brought a gun into the building last semester.

“She said so, but other than that she didn’t really think anything” of further concerns, Abigail said.

“I mean, I think people think it will never happen to them,” she added. “She loved her students. I know her students looked at her as if she were their mother.’

Video taken during the incident shows students hiding in a classroom before being released to leave the building, and the moment when they run for their lives.

The shooting also killed 15-year-old student Alexandria Bell, while four other students were injured.

Alexandria’s family confirmed her death on social media hours after her panicked mother posted that she couldn’t find her.

Police have not disclosed how Harris gained access to the building, saying there were seven security guards, metal detectors and the doors were locked.

He added that Harris had no criminal history and his motive for the shooting remains unclear.

The situation unfolded when the principal of the school said a code word through the loudspeaker around 9:00 am, meaning there is a gunman in the school.

In a news conference on Monday, St. Louis Police Chief Michael Sack said, “As children fled the building, they spoke to some children who told them there was a gunman armed with a long rifle.”

The officers then entered the school, found the gunman and shot and killed the suspect, he continued.

“There was a firefight” after the officers found the suspect,” he said.

After a reporter urged the police commissioner on how the shooter got in, Sack replied, “We’re not going to talk about how the suspect got in.”

Taniya Gholston, 16, remembers being in the dance hall when the attacker barged in.

She said she only survived because his gun jammed.

‘I was in the dance hall. I only heard two shots, I tried to run and I couldn’t run. And me and him…

“I’m glad I got out because his gun was jammed,” she said.

“I think someone was shot. We saw blood on the floor.’

A mother of a student at the school told DailyMail.com that her daughter was in the school band with Harris.

“She said he was quiet,” the mother said. “He was always alone in the corner. Very antisocial.’

Congresswoman Cori Bush was also present at the press conference. The Democrat represents the neighborhood where St. Louis is located.

“Today is one of those days, those days when we pray, we pray that this never happens in this country,” said Rep. Bush.

“We want to thank again our first responders, but we also want to thank those teachers and school personnel and administrators who were on the scene and on the move and ready,” the congressman said.

“Those who were there to support the students and those who are here now.”

Bush said any families or victims “who don’t know who to talk to” can call her office, saying the phone lines will be open to those who need help.

The shooting was initially confirmed by the St. Louis Public Schools Twitter account.

“Police are on the scene at Central Visual and Performing Arts this morning following reports of an active gunman and both CVPA and Collegiate are on lockdown,” they said Monday morning.

The post from the district states that the “shooter was quickly stopped by police within CVPA.”

“We will send information about where parents can reunite with students,” the district said.
