Yankees make huge Aaron Boone decision
The New York Yankees have made their decision on the fate of manager Aaron Boone following the World Series implosion.
The Yankees were humiliated in the World Series by the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 1-4 series loss, sealed by a series of blunders in Game 5.
Despite Title 28 avoiding the Pinstripes, the franchise announced that Boone would extend his stay in the Bronx.
The Yankees confirmed Friday morning that they had exercised their 2025 club option on the manager.
Boone, who first took control of the decorated franchise in 2018, signed a three-year contract extension in 2021, including the team option for 2025.

The team has now opted to exercise the option and bring Boone back for the upcoming campaign.
During his seven years as manager in New York, Boone has a record of 603-429, reaching the playoffs in all but one season.
General manager Brian Cashman had hinted earlier this week that the team was leaning towards bringing back the manager.
‘The manager’s job is so impossible, so you can play the game of doubt because you’re either going to make a move and it’s right, or you’re going to make a move and it’s wrong and then you have to do it. , right? So I think he’s a very, very good manager. I think we’re lucky to have him. He did a great job,” Cashman said of Boone. Tuesday.
After a disappointing 2023 season in which New York finished with its worst winning percentage since 1992 and failed to reach the postseason, the Bronx Bombers rebounded to reach the World Series for the first time in 15 years.
However, despite Boone and the Yankees’ comeback and Cashman’s apparent confidence in the manager, fans on social media were left outraged by the decision.
‘Another year in which you didn’t win a WS. I think you’re a joke,” one fan replied to the team’s announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘So another year of lack of Hussle, poor base running and sloppy defense. Sounds like the Yankee way,” moaned another.
“disaster loading after the 2025 season…” a third predicted, while one wondered: “Are we really taking L’s out of season?”
One supporter slammed the team and owner Hal Steinbrenner, writing, “The looser mentality continues.!! Bravo Hal and Cashman..!!’
