How YOU can get a flat overlooking a football stadium: Inside the homes with a ‘free Premier League season ticket’ – where one resident has men asking for dates just to watch matches

Every football fan dreams of owning a house overlooking their favorite team’s stadium, and for some supporters in London that dream has become a reality.

From the depths of League Two to the prestigious heights of the Premier League, there are opportunities across the football league for fans to buy an apartment near their favorite team.

One fan who knows this all too well is Noemi Oberhauser, who lives directly above the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

The 24-year-old singer has amassed 17,000 followers since she started sharing clips from her home online and with the vision she has, it’s clear why.

Oberhauser’s flat sits above the stadium, providing a perfect aerial view of the Bees’ grounds. She revealed that she pays £1,200 a month for the flat, but similar properties can be rented for £2,050 a month. Zoopla.

One listing on their website shows a similar furnished flat on Thomas Layton Way, which offers views of the stadium from the bedroom window.

In a video that has been viewed 54,000 times, Oberhauser claims the special feature attracts eager suitors to ask her out – by watching a match together.

“I’ve had quite a few people message me on Instagram about the apartment,” Oberhauser told What’s The Jam.

‘Mainly offering to come watch the game with me and make it a little date. Many people also respond with things like “Marry me.” So it’s quite funny.’

While not every apartment on this list will have an assortment of potential candidates willing to drop by, there are plenty of other benefits to purchasing such an apartment.

Elsewhere in East London, football fans can get a two-bedroom apartment with views of Leyton Orient’s grounds for just £2,000 pcm. Spare room.

The property listed on their website even offers an in-ground balcony, which could provide the ultimate matchday experience for any Orient supporter.

However, if someone rents the flat, they should prepare for their weekend to be interrupted by the 9,271 fans that can be packed into Brisbane Road.

There are also a number of other options in the football league.

Wimbledon’s Plow Lane offers a selection of apartments overlooking the stadium following redevelopment that began in 2018.

A total of 600 homes and a range of communal facilities have been built as part of the project, offering a variety of different views across the land.

Similarly, residents of the Valiant House building – just a few meters from The Valley – enjoy fantastic views over the home of League One side Charlton Athletic.

The 27,111-capacity stadium in south-east London is surrounded by several houses and apartments, with those on the top floor offering ideal views for watching matches.

A supporter who has lived in the building for the past two years spoke about her matchday experiences in an interview The sun.

Philippa Banse told the outlet: ‘Living so close to the stadium is actually good because you don’t have to pay for a ticket.

‘From where I live, I can see the entire field, just not the goal. I can also watch the entire match.

‘I watch some matches, but not all. If I hear shouting, or hear ‘goal’, I can look to see who has scored.

‘At first I found the noise to be a problem, but now I’m used to it. The problem now is parking. If they are playing, it is not fair to the residents, especially if we want to get out.

‘Once we were told we had to wait two hours before we could go outside. But otherwise it is no problem to live close to the stadium.’

While there may be the slight drawback of a noisy awakening on the weekend, just imagine the fantastic viewing parties that can be hosted at one of these properties.
