Moment Superman actor Dean Cain muddles up his words and makes hilarious faux pas about Donald Trump
Superman star Dean Cain left Good Morning Britain viewers in stitches this morning after referring to newly elected President Donald Trump with a term the businessman would have found less than endearing.
The actor, best known for his role as Clark Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, appeared on ITV’s morning show and voted for the 78-year-old in this week’s US election, propelling him to a shock victory yesterday helped. .
Cain, 58, has defended Trump’s election as the first convicted felon ever to be appointed leader of the free world — and the first to be elected with ongoing criminal trials hanging over his head.
He told GMB that Americans did not choose their president on the basis that they are “the nicest guy or girl in the world” – and praised Trump’s courage to continue campaigning after an attempt on his life in Pennsylvania in July.
But then he addressed the soon-to-be 47th president as something Trump would adamantly insist he is not.

Cain, 58, mixed up his words and accidentally referred to Trump (above, yesterday, cheering his election victory) as “pregnant” instead of president
Cain was quick to clarify his comments to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls – saying: ‘He’s president – not pregnant’

The faux pas was noticed by at least one viewer, who pointed out the stumble on social media
“I truly believe that God had a hand in saving him and turning his head around, and I think the world is a different place today because Donald Trump is pregnant,” Cain said without missing a beat.
Then he pulls back and grimaces as he clarifies, “He’s president — not pregnant.”
A sharp-eyed viewer on
Cain continued his defense of the 45th president, calling him an “extremely brave man” after the Pennsylvania shooting while speaking to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.
“(Trump is) such a wonderfully warm and wonderful guy when you talk to him as well,” Cain said.
‘I think people will be surprised at how well he leads, how well everything comes together. I think he has changed a bit (since his last term).”
Cain was set for a promising American football career before a knee injury forced him to change course – appearing in advertisements and in supporting roles on TV shows.
But he really rose to fame after his winning smile, good looks and sculpted frame landed him the role of Clark Kent in The New Adventures of Superman. He later appeared in other comic book roles in Smallville and Supergirl
Cain has wavered politically over the years, voting for Bill Clinton twice before endorsing Al Gore in the 2000 election, which Gore lost to George W. Bush.
He then switched from the Democrats to the Republicans and registered as a member of the Republican Party before later registering as an independent voter.

The Mail interviewed him earlier this year at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee – perhaps suggesting he has once again thrown his weight behind the Grand Old Party.
He remains a board member of the National Rifle Association, having been elected for another three-year term in May this year, but has previously described himself as “very left” when it comes to social issues such as the legalization of marijuana.
However, last year he bought a $4 million mansion in Las Vegas and moved from his old home in California due to the famously liberal state’s politics.
‘I love California. It is the most beautiful state. Everything is great except the policy,” Cain told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade.
‘The policy is just terrible. The budget policy, the soft policy on crime, the homelessness policy.’
And appearing on Fox News earlier this year, Cain said he “supported President Trump 100 percent, there’s no doubt about it,” after fellow macho man Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson declined to endorse a particular candidate for the showdown 2024.
WWE wrestler turned actor Johnson had endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2016 – but said this year he would keep his politics to himself because the endorsement was “incredibly divisive.”
But Cain said he would “never withhold an endorsement because I’m not that smart.”
About The Rock’s silence, he added, “He’s just going to sell his movies, he’s going to sell his football league, he’s going to sell his WrestleMania, and he’s going to sell his tequila, because he’s a businessman.”
