Simone Biles makes desperate plea to Joe Biden after Donald Trump’s election win

Simone Biles has implored incumbent President Joe Biden to “shake some things up” before he leaves office following Donald Trump’s presidential victory.

President-elect Trump, who will hold the Oval Office for the second time, defeated Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday by capturing 277 electoral college votes.

But gymnast Biles didn’t seem too happy about his re-election when she made a thinly veiled post on X about his stance on abortion.

“Mr. Biden, I want you to stand up, straighten your back and shake some things before you go,” Biles wrote to her two million followers.

‘xoxo the women in america.’

Trump has previously taken credit for ending Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that protected abortion rights nationwide.

He appointed conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett during his tenure, and the three later helped form a majority to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Nevertheless, Biles’ post on X did not sit well with some fans.

‘You know that women don’t lose any rights, right? I mean, at least we’ll make sure men don’t compete against you and your fellow women,” one person wrote.

‘Sorry Simone, but the man [barely] know what crazy day it is or that he’s president so you’re asking a lot,” another said of Biden.

A third wrote: ‘Stop trying to divide people.’

And a fourth wondered what the seven-time gold medalist meant by her plea to Biden, writing: “Like taking men out of women’s sports?

Trump said on Truth Social in October that he would not do thatDo not support a federal abortion ban under any circumstances.”

However, the elimination of Roe v. Wade allowed states to block access to abortion, and the procedure is currently illegal in 13 states.

Biles wasn’t the only athlete to express concern about women’s rights as Trump is set to return to power.

LeBron James, who previously supported VP Harris, took to Instagram and shared a photo of him and his 10-year-old daughter, Zhuri.

“HEAVY ON MY HEART AND MIND THIS IS MY PRINCESS,” he wrote.

“Promise I’ll protect you with everything I have and more!! WE DON’T NEED THEIR HELP!’
