Outrageous reason ‘evil’ man shoots his neighbor’s cat as devastated owner reveals her pet’s ghastly last moments
A Kentucky woman has been left heartbroken after her “evil” neighbor shot her 12-year-old cat, leading to the pet’s painful death.
Disgruntled Georgetown resident Christopher Jones, 54, fired his gun at Kristin Bradenburg’s cat named Gray Baby on September 22. because he was on his property, climbing on his cars and leaving paw prints – so he ‘took care of it’.
Bradenburg had just moved to the rural neighborhood six months earlier. She said the area was quiet and she “never had any problems with anyone.”
But that all changed when she received a heartbreaking call from her fiancĂ© who told her Gray Baby had been shot and sent her a photo. The bullet went into the cat’s chest and through its arm, causing the animal excruciating pain.
The heartbroken owner rushed and took Gray Baby to the vet, but it was too late. There was no other option but to euthanize him.

“It just doesn’t make sense why someone would do that, that evil could be living right next to you,” Bradenburg said. WKYT.
Police came to Jones’ home the next day to question him about the incident.
He admitted to shooting Gray Baby and claimed the cat was on his property, which was a “nuisance,” according to court documents.
Bradenburg says she now worries about her other animals.
She told WKYT, âIt scares me too, because what’s he going to do now? I have other animals, I have two dogs.’
Kristin Bradenburg said she heard the heartbreaking news when his fiancée called her on September 22
âThis is what I would consider a violent act, to end a life, not for hunting purposes, not for self-defense, not even for a valid defense of property,â Bradenburg’s attorney Jaqueline Mayer told WKYT.
Jones was accused of torturing a cat or dog. His arraignment is scheduled for November 14.
Ethan’s Law is a Kentucky law that makes torturing a cat or dog a class D felony. It only came into effect in July and Jones’ case is one of the first that can be applied.
Before Ethan’s Law, torturing animals was considered a Class A misdemeanor after a first offense and was only a Class D misdemeanor for repeat offenses, according to Link NKY.
Gray Baby’s case will be one of the first in Kentucky where Ethan’s Law could be applied
Named after a previously neglected dog, Ethan’s Law makes torturing a dog or cat a class D misdemeanor in Kentucky
The act is dedicated to a dog named Ethan, who has recovered from severe neglect. He was sold as a puppy and traded for drugs until he was abandoned.
Ethan’s owner, Jeff Callaway, has invested in Gray Baby’s business and said he will follow it.
âI wouldn’t even say the last thing you should do is shoot the cat. That’s just not even on the list, there’s just so many other ways to deal with it,â Callaway told WKYT.
