The $20 item from Kmart Australia that’s been named the BEST kitchen product of 2025: ‘You won’t regret it’
A $20 frying pan from Kmart Australia, which fans claim does ‘the same job as more expensive options’, has been crowned the best kitchen product of the year.
The retailer’s ANKO hard anodized non-stick frying pan – available in three sizes: 24cm ($20), 28cm ($24) and 32cm ($27) – won the coveted title in the Household/Kitchenware category at the Product of the Annual Awards 2025.
The stainless steel, hard anodised aluminum cookware with three layers of non-stick coating on the inside came out on top after more than 5,000 shoppers voted for their favorite supermarket and retail products.
And it’s not hard to see why it’s a bestseller.
The nonstick pan has received dozens of rave reviews, with an average rating of 4.8 stars out of 5.
‘Great frying pan for the price. Outperforms some of the more expensive frying pans in my kitchen,” said one.
‘These are competitively priced and do the same as a more expensive pan. It’s amazing,” another enthused.
‘I recently purchased this frying pan as part of a kitchenware upgrade and I am very happy with it. They are durable and very easy to clean. Excellent quality for those on a budget,” one person added.

According to many shoppers, the pan range offers ‘excellent value for money’.
“This range of cookware is excellent for the price,” said one.
However, some pointed out that the thickness of the pans may “take longer to heat up.”
‘Very thick base and excellent quality despite the price. This means it takes a while to heat up. But highly recommended,” someone shared.
