2024 election interactive guide reveals when the polls close and when we’ll find out the results

Millions of Americans will go to the polls in what will be one of the closest presidential elections in history

Voters will choose between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, two candidates with completely different visions of America.

The polls could not be tighter as an unprecedented campaign that included two assassination attempts and the withdrawal of a candidate comes to an end.

The first polls in Indiana and Kentucky will close Tuesday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Then the US will wait as ballots are counted across the country and the excitement begins to find out who will be the next President of the United States.

For some states, the results will be announced as soon as voting ends.

But for others — especially the seven battleground states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina — it could be hours or even days before we know the winner.

DailyMail.com has broken down everything you need to know – hour by hour – about the drama that will unfold – including when the polls close in each state, who is expected to win and when you can expect a result.
