PLAY TEAMSHEET: Can YOU remember the Man United team that started in Cristiano Ronaldo’s first-ever game for the Red Devils?

Welcome back to Teamblad. Today we have a match that is sure to raise warm feelings among those Manchester United supporters who still long for their glory days.

In August 2003, the Red Devils were just months away from their fifteenth top-flight title and their third in four years, but the landscape of English football was soon to change with the new Chelsea and the resurgent Arsenal.

But before that reality set in, Sir Alex Ferguson’s side defeated Bolton Wanderers 4-0 at Old Trafford in the opening game of the new season, where fans were treated to their first glimpse of a future superstar following the departure of another superstar in the summer.

We want to know if you can remember the home team that day. Full instructions on how to play can be found at the bottom of the article and in the game itself – and be sure to check back tomorrow! Good luck!

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to score as few points possible!

If you guess a player on the first try, you score one point – i.e. the lowest score for guessing each player on the first try is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the correct position and it turns green. Guess a correct letter, but in the wrong position, and it turns yellow.

You have six guesses for each player – and if you fail, we reveal their identity for 11 points! You can also ask for a free letter, but it will cost you a point.

So play on to see if you can score the best possible total of 11 – or fail with each player and score 121.
