Azealia Banks backtracks on supporting Donald Trump over Elon Musk and says she’s now voting for Kamala Harris

Azealia Banks says she will now vote for Democrat Kamala Harris over Republican Donald Trump in Tuesday’s US presidential election, after previously saying she was voting for Trump.

The 33-year-old music artist cited Trump’s alliance with tech billionaire Elon Musk as a key factor in her decision to switch votes in a series of lengthy tweets on Monday.

“I really think keeping Elon Musk out of any kind of political power in the U.S. comes down to every issue on the table here,” the New York City resident said. “You’d have to be a complete idiot to think that bastard cares about anyone or anything other than himself.”

Banks said she believes Musk has “already been given far too much taxpayer money” and that “it is very dangerous to allow him to hold a position of political authority.”

She took some shots at Musk’s ethics and business tactics, adding that “you don’t become the richest man in the world because of honesty and good character.”
