New favourite? Queen Mary’s special guest at a royal hunt following secret getaway to Australia – after King Frederik headed out on his OWN

Royal fans claim that Queen Mary of Denmark has been a favorite with her children after allowing her youngest daughter, Princess Josephine, to attend the royal hunt as a special guest.

The 13-year-old princess’ appearance on the yacht came days after she was spotted on an Australian beach alongside her glamorous 52-year-old mother. Her twin brother Vincent was also invited on the trip.

The beloved Australian-born queen could be seen smiling at her teenage daughter as they rode in the carriage and stood on the balcony for the popular hunt.

The Queen attended the iconic Hubert Hunt, held at Hermitage Palace in Dyrehaven, to present her honorary award.

The annual hunt involves 160 riders chasing the ‘fox’, which has now been replaced by two experienced riders and is always held on the first Sunday in November.

The ‘fox’ is followed over hedgerows and water features across the park – following a route of 13 km.

Dating back to the 1900s, the event marks the end of the Danish hunting season and attracts around 40,000 spectators.

Queen Mary became patron of the Hubertus Hunt event following the death of her father-in-law Prince Henrik in 2018, when she was still Crown Princess.

This year’s hunt took place just days after the one-year anniversary of the ‘Madrid scandal’ – in which her husband, then the Crown Prince, was photographed alone in Spain with his friend, glamorous Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova.

At the time, the photos sparked affair rumors that Genoveva was quick to deny and which the Danish palace has refused to address.

Queen Mary made birthday headlines when she appeared at Bronte Beach in Sydney, Australia. Her young daughter by her side.

The next day the glamorous Royal was spotted at Balmoral Beach, this time with friends.

Queen Mary was in Australia for her niece’s wedding. Her youngest son, Prince Vincent, was also on the secret holiday but was not photographed with his mother until they were spotted leaving the country.

Meanwhile, King Frederick organized his own hunt on Gludsted plantation. His first as King of Denmark.

His decision to chase the birthday sparked controversy as that is reportedly where he first met his friend Genoveva.

26 Guests took part in the King’s first royal hunt, including primary producers, politicians and members of the court.

While many Royal Watchers wondered why the couple decided to spend the one-year anniversary of the scandal apart.

Others are calling for the couple to be “left alone.”

“There’s a reason why the rearview mirror is so small and the windshield is so big. Where you are going is far more important than what you left behind. “Apparently this couple understands this,” one fan said.

“Unless you hid under the bed, you won’t know what happened,” said another.

“He is a royal king and can do whatever he wants. She is not Danish and from a normal family,” said a third.

Some just felt ‘sad’ for the Royals.

“Old Mary has looked miserable for over a year, she has the same look in her eyes as Charlene of Monaco,” said one man.
