Rhea Ripley is one of the biggest names in the WWE women’s division.

The Adelaide-born performer is known for her incredible in-ring strength and her menacing, gothic image, so wrestling fans were recently shocked to discover some of her pre-WWE photos.

In the images, the 26-year-old looks completely unrecognizable compared to her current appearance.

Instead of her short black hair, which she wears smooth back with shaved sides, Rhea has smooth and straight blond locks.

Her makeup is light and natural and she has no tattoos.

While her edgy transformation has made her one of the biggest names in wrestling, some fans have begged her to go back to her old image.

“So beautiful,” commented one fan over an old photo. “We want this diva. Not that gothic look.’

“You look so pretty with long hair,” another gushed.

Rhea talked about her extreme makeover in an interview with Fox Sports in Sept.

“Growing up, I watched people like Beth Phoenix. She was different, she was built differently, big, muscular and she had muscles and she went out and destroyed everyone in her path. That’s someone I looked up to,” she said.

“So to kind of get into that role where I’ve now put the time and effort into the gym and made my body this weapon of mass destruction as well, but to not only do that in myself, but also prove that everyone else that they should be comfortable in their own skin and not care what people think or say about them, as long as they are happy in themselves and surround themselves with the right people, that’s very special to me.’

She also said she was fed up with stereotypes about what women should look like in society.

“The point is that women should have long hair. I hate that stereotype. I hate it when men say, ‘Let your hair grow,’ she said.

‘No. This is my body, this is my choice. I do what I want with my body and you can’t tell me what to do because I love myself, I don’t care if you don’t love me.’

The former Raw Women’s Champion also said she had now inspired countless other women to cut their hair short.

“I’m really proud and happy to be on this platform where I can also help people,” Rhea gushed.

“I’m constantly getting messages, tweets, posts where I’m tagged about people and their confidence is growing because they’ve seen me, which is absolutely insane.”
