Married At First Sight’s ‘hottest bride ever’ Evelyn Ellis wears X-rated Halloween costume after ‘tone deaf’ look with boyfriend Duncan James

Married at First Sight ‘hot couple’ Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James have responded to criticism of their Halloween costumes with a series of racy photos.

The pair were criticized this week for dressing up as each other.

And on Friday, Evelyn, 28, shared a photo gallery in which she posed in a thong and sheer lace bodysuit and tall stiletto boots.

She completed the daring look with what appears to be a cat-eye “sex mask” and a pair of long black gloves.

Model Cece Buss was also featured in the photos alongside Evelyn, as they both wore identical outfits.

The pair posed provocatively in several photos, using a black spanking paddle as a prop.

Evelyn’s caption indicated that the outfits were from lingerie brand Honey Birdette.

Duncan, 39, joined the pair while dressed in a costume that paid tribute to Ali G, the infamous rapper character created by the English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.

Sporting thick stubble, Duncan wore a bright yellow jumpsuit, matching glasses, a black knit hat and a ‘bum bag’ – an outfit well recognized by Ali G fans.

Evelyn shared the photos to her Instagram stories, along with photos of herself and Duncan dining at a swanky nightspot while wearing the outrageous costumes.

It comes after celebrity stylist Jamie Azzopardi criticized Evelyn and Duncan for their ‘scary’ choice of Halloween costumes.

Duncan went all glam on the red carpet as he donned drag and wore a handmade replica of his girlfriend’s 2023 Logies ensemble.

Meanwhile, the MAFS ‘hot bride’ wore a black tuxedo and wig paired with fake facial hair.

“Spooky szn (season),” she wrote in the caption.

‘This year we decided to take it one step further and fully commit, this took so damn long haha and it was one of the scariest things we’ve ever done.

“PS I don’t look like Duncan at all.”

Evelyn and Duncan also dressed up as each other for Halloween in 2023 and were widely praised by their fans and fellow cast members for their costumes.

But the influencer couple’s work struck a sour note for Jamie, who is non-binary and uses they/their pronouns.

He said it was hurtful to see a heterosexual couple playing with gender performance and being praised for it – while the LGBTQ+ community is persecuted for doing the same.

“It’s a shame it’s being presented as if the ‘scariest thing you can do in life is cross-dressing,'” Jamie told Ny Breaking Australia.

“I don’t know how else to read that caption. It’s tone deaf.’

The Sydney-based stylist compared the couple’s costume to a white person dressing up as a person of color in blackface, or choosing to “wear” a culture as a costume for Halloween.

“I love Duncan and Evelyn and I know he has queer friends and family so this move was out of character for them,” Jamie said.

‘I don’t think either of them are homophobic. That’s not my point. But if you say, ‘This is scary,’ you’re making fun of people like me.”

Evelyn and Duncan rose to fame in the 2023 season of Australia’s highest-rated reality series, and despite being ‘TV married’ to different partners, they ended up together.

The stylist also shared private messages sent to the couple and their responses with Ny Breaking.

“Hey guys, sorry to be difficult, but I’ve been asked about this, so I decided to do it maturely and tell you how I feel,” Jamie began their DM to Duncan and Evelyn.

“I think this might seem a bit offensive and tone-deaf to your queer friends!”

“To live in a city like Sydney and be a representation of modern Australians, I think it’s a shame that it’s portrayed as if the scariest thing either of you can imagine is cross-dressing,” Jamie continued.

“As someone who is non-binary and regularly dresses this way, I think it is hurtful to a community that calls this everyday life.

‘I’m sorry for being such a downer. I just wanted to be open and honest so you know where I’m coming from.”

Jamie has previously dressed up as Joe Exotic for Halloween and said a bottle of P.Diddy baby oil was on their list of possible costume ideas for 2024.

When contacted by Ny Breaking, Evelyn claimed she saw nothing wrong or offensive about her and Duncan’s costume.

“I’m sorry, but your partner who looks like you is creepy!!!” she said.

However, Duncan took a more diplomatic approach in his personal response to Jamie.

“Hey Jamie, I really appreciate you reaching out to me. I have always respected your opinion and approach,” the ex-AFL player wrote.

‘While many Halloween outfits are scary or terrifying, there are many that are not and this is one of them.

‘I think we should always take into account all genders and all people who live on this planet.

“I would like to think that both Ev and I show through our actions that they are extremely supportive and understanding of the wider community.”

‘I would welcome any discussion if people feel I shouldn’t dress up as my partner or crossdress if I want to.’

Jamie, who is known for their extravagant outfit choices and celebrity feuds, said the response was appreciated but they were disappointed.

“In my community, we often experience a lot of hate just because of this decision [to cross dress or perform drag]the stylist explained.

“So for many of us (myself included), it can be a tough pill to swallow.”

Jamie faced strong backlash when he showed up to Australian Fashion Week in an elaborate dress, which was attended by a handful of entourage members earlier this year.

The stylist added, “There’s a cultural appropriation element to all of this.”

That’s why Jamie said non-binary Aussie muso G Flip and his wife Chrishell Stause dressing up as each other for Halloween wasn’t offensive, but this was.
