NRL glamour couple tie the knot in luxury Mexico ceremony ahead of lavish Hawaii honeymoon

NRL star Ryan Sutton and his fashion designer wife Kate Ford tied the knot in a luxurious ceremony in Mexico last Wednesday.

The happy couple shared their vows in Tulum as friends and family looked on at the fiesta-themed event.

Kate, 30, accessorized with her custom-made wedding dress, complete with lace gloves, and revealed that Ryan, 29, showed his sentimental side during their vows, according Confidential.

“Ryan whispered to me during the ceremony and said I looked so beautiful and I couldn’t stop crying,” she told the publication.

“I didn’t want to cry and ruin my makeup, but it was really cute.”

“He said he fell in love with me three times: when we met, when I gave birth to the children, and a third time when my father walked me down the aisle. He’s a big softie.’

Ryan, who plays for the Bulldogs and shares two-year-old twins Ryder and Dakota with Kate, welcomed former Canberra Raiders teammates to the celebration.

Tom Starling, Hudson Young and Jordan Rapana were among the guests, along with friend Makahesi Makatoa of the Parramatta Eels.

Ryan and Kate gave their wedding a festive flair, with a mariachi band playing as they were declared husband and wife.

Guests threw rose petals on the loved-up couple ahead of the cocktail reception, which featured tequila shots, a margarita tower and a churros cart.

Kate ditched her custom dress for a Grace Loves Lace gown during the festivities, for “a mix of jungle and beach vibes.”
