Paris Fury breaks her silence after suffering tragic miscarriage which saw her world ‘ripped to pieces’ and reveals why she kept the loss a secret from husband Tyson

Paris Fury has broken her silence after tragically suffering a miscarriage the day before husband Tyson’s heavy defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Dubai in May.

The mum, 35, described how her world was ‘torn apart’ by the loss of the couple’s eighth child, a son, when she was six months old, but chose not to tell the boxer ahead of his big competition.

Paris said The mirror: ‘I had to make the decision, should I tell him? And I came to the conclusion that no matter what happened to me, I couldn’t change it. But I could dramatically change what was happening in his life.”

Paris explained that she heard the terrible news during a routine gender scan when no heartbeat was found and she was later forced to give birth to her late child naturally, as she praised the staff at Lancaster Hospital for their support.

Determined not to tell Tyson, 36, over the phone, she kept the news secret until he returned to Britain after the match, despite his pleas for her to join him in Saudi Arabia.

‘It does affect the father, but for the woman carrying the child it is more serious. As much as it hurts Tyson, for me it’s ten times worse. But while I had had time to process the idea, it took him days to come to terms with the funeral. He said, “I can’t do it now,” he said.

The devastating loss marked the couple’s third miscarriage and they buried their baby in a private location, choosing to remain silent before Tyson shared the news publicly last month.

Giving advice to other mothers who have suffered a miscarriage, she said: ‘At that moment it feels like your world is being torn apart. But I know anyone can get through it. And what is so traumatic one day becomes a memory. You know, you had that little slice of life, even if it was so short. Mentally, I am comfortable with what happened. Physically I’m fine.’

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Paris has suffered a miscarriage without telling Tyson for fear of upsetting him before a fight.

Four years ago, she admitted that she had kept her 2018 miscarriage a secret from her husband as he was about to make his long-awaited return to the boxing ring after a two-and-a-half year hiatus.

During an appearance on This Morning, Paris recalled sitting in her car ‘crying alone’ after finding out and ‘had to grin and bear it’ as she felt she had to ‘keep it all together’ ahead of Tyson’s big comeback fight . .

She told then hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: ‘It started a few days before a fight and it was very early before he returned to the ring and it was early but I had to keep it to myself…

“I had to grin and bear it, I had to sit in the car and cry by myself… I’m trying to keep it together because I’m the glue of the house,” she continued.

Paris learned of her miscarriage on the same day Tyson made his long-awaited comeback after three years in the ring against Sefer Seferi in June 2018, but only told her husband after he raised his hand.

Four years before her miscarriage, Paris gave birth to a stillborn baby in 2014 when she was five months pregnant – saying ‘it’s something I’ll never really get over’.

In 2021, Paris candidly shared the “devastating” pain she felt after losing two babies on the road to parenthood.

After enduring a stillbirth in 2014 and then suffering a devastating miscarriage at eight weeks shortly before Tyson’s comeback in 2018, she once again chose not to tell her husband right away.

To mark Baby Loss Awareness Week, Paris reached out to those who have been through a similar situation, and candidly shared how “lonely” she felt after both a miscarriage and a stillbirth.
