Major supermarkets are urgently recalling mince pies after they were found to contain GLUE

A range of Tesco Finest mince pies have been withdrawn from sale after tests showed the Christmas treats were laced with bits of dried glue.

A recall from the supermarket giant stated that packs of Tesco Finest 6 All Butter Pastry Mince Pies (6-pack) with specific date codes had been withdrawn.

The warning added that there was “possible presence of small pieces of dried glue from the packaging” in the cakes.

The affected packages are those with four expiration dates: 4/10, 26/10, 02/11 and 10/11 of this year.

Tesco is advising customers who purchased the mince pies in question not to eat them, but instead to return them to the store for a refund.
