Mark Cuban sparks fury on The View for controversial comments about women around Trump
A growing chorus of critics emerged after Mark Cuban said Donald Trump doesn’t surround himself with “intelligent women.”
The businessman and television personality is facing a barrage of hate for his comments Thursday on ABC’s The View.
“Donald Trump – you never see him around strong, intelligent women. It’s just that simple,” he said.
The response to the comment comes just days after President Joe Biden also angered Republicans by calling Trump’s supporters “trash.”
“I have to say that I have known, respected and loved you for a long time,” sports anchor Sage Steele responded to Cuban with a video on X. “What you just said is disrespectful and crosses the line. .’

Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded by saying, “This is deeply insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who proudly voted for him.”
It’s no secret that Cuban, co-owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team, is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and has been an active surrogate for her on the campaign trail.
But Republicans, Trump supporters, those working for the campaign and even just women in general say the latest comments go too far.
Steele’s response was probably the most scathing, as the sportscaster attacked the man she once “respected.”

Some women posted photos of themselves with the former president in protest of Cuban’s comments. This included Trump 2024 senior adviser Susie Wiles.
