Snoop Dogg announces new album Missionary produced by Dr. Dre coming in December
Snoop Dogg has confirmed that his album Missionary, produced by Dr. Dre, will be released in December.
The new album, which fans of the 53-year-old rapper have been waiting for for years, has a release date of December 13.
It comes almost three years after Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr., took over Death Row Records.
Dre, 59, told AND about the new project in August: ‘This will show another level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve made in my career.”
At the time, he teased a November release, saying, “I wanted fourteen songs, Snoop wants sixteen, so that’s what happens. [bumps his fists together].
‘As far as the mixes are concerned, I am at number 11. I have to be finished and delivered by September 1st in order to be released in November.’

As they appear on the podcast All smoke in January, the Pharrell collaborator said, “I’m in the lab right now with Dr. Dre. He’s a perfectionist, you know.’
“When you hear what we have and how he got me to rap, it’s like a grown-up Snoop Dogg. It’s a growth for him,” he described.
The iconic star explained: ‘It’s the way he selects his bars. It’s the way he uses [my] voice. This nigga used me like a fucking robot, and I love it because I love being produced. I like to be challenged.’
When asked about the album’s delay, the father of four explained: “The n**ga called me one day about two years ago.”
He hilariously added, “He said, ‘N**ga, come over, let me play some songs with you.’ I go there and he’s like, “N**ga, let me make your album.” And I said, “Okay, let’s go.” We go in and knock out a few songs. He hit me back: “I need two more days.” I probably got that call about 85 times. This nigga needs two extra days all the time.”

After purchasing Death Row Records in 2022, Snoop said in a statement, “I am excited and appreciate the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has tremendous untapped future value.”
He added: “It feels good to own the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founders. This is a very meaningful moment for me.’
