‘Ghost’ is captured in chilling detail on a Ring doorbell – as the mysterious orb slides through a kitchen in Preston
Ring doorbells may be designed to detect physical intruders.
But that hasn’t stopped the high-tech devices from capturing some of Britain’s strangest supernatural offenders in terrifying detail.
With Halloween just a day away, Ring has released footage of paranormal activity captured by members of the public.
A ‘ghost orb’ is spotted on camera floating around a Preston kitchen in a terrifying video.
Rebecca Reeves, who submitted the footage from her kitchen, says she thinks the ghostly apparition could be a deceased relative dropping by to say hello.
“I think it’s an orb, the way it’s sliding across the room,” Mrs. Reeves said.
“It didn’t make me feel uncomfortable because I don’t know exactly what it is.”
“I’ve been looking online at orbs and their nature and haven’t read anything negative about them, so that made me think it might be a family member keeping an eye on our dog Albus while we went outside.”
Ring cameras have captured eerie footage from Britain’s most haunted houses. This image shows the moment a ‘ghost orb’ appears in a kitchen in Preston
Dawn Gallagher, who shared the video from her Glasgow home, says she noticed the activity after the mysterious orb triggered the camera’s motion alert
Former ‘Most Haunted’ star Yvette Fielding teamed up with Ring to reveal the country’s most haunted houses.
In the clip that Ms Fielding singled out as the creepiest of them all, footage from a Ring camera shows the interior of a kitchen.
The camera then captures the moment when a silvery sphere seems to emerge from nowhere and float towards the camera before fading away.
While Ms. Reeves says she isn’t concerned about the presence of a floating orb in the kitchen, she also notes that the potential spookiness could have other effects.
“I sometimes suffer from sleep paralysis, so I never know if that’s causing me to experience things like feeling like someone is in the room with me or feeling like someone is sitting at the foot of the bed,” she said. them.
In another video, selected second, footage from the Ring camera shows what appears to be another floating sphere.
Dawn Gallagher, who shared the video from her Glasgow home, says she noticed the activity after the mysterious orb triggered the camera’s motion alert.
“This was the first time we’ve noticed anything paranormal on our Ring devices,” said Ms. Gallagher.
Experienced ghost hunter Yvette Fielding says orbs like these can be the first signs of a ghostly manifestation
“To us and everyone I’ve shown the video to, it looks like a white ball with a trail. My partner Alex and I were quite shocked at the time because it didn’t look like an insect.’
While these clips may not seem that shocking, Ms Fielding says they could be a sign of more activity in the future.
“The light anomalies captured on the Ring device are interesting,” she explained.
‘The fact that there is only one isolated in each video makes this footage fascinating as it could be the first stage of a ghost manifestation and is worth further investigation.’
Many skeptics naturally question these conclusions.
In a blog post, the Paranormal Investigators of Milwaukee (PIM) write, “The truth is that 99.9% of all orb images can be explained as dust, insects, mold spores, or pollen.”
They explain that tiny particles in the air, which are invisible to the naked eye, can refract light into bright flashes.
This effect makes a small piece of fabric resemble a floating sphere floating aimlessly in front of the camera.
The PIM adds: ‘To call Obs anything else is ignorant, misleading or both.’
As for Mrs. Reeves’ sleep paralysis, this is a completely natural phenomenon that can affect anyone.
During sleep paralysis, a person is in between stages of sleep, so their brain is awake and active while their body is still deeply asleep.
One clip captured on a Ring camera that cannot be explained by dust particles or sleep paralysis was submitted by Rose and Paul Lynch from Hampshire
In the footage, Paul Lynch from Hampshire (pictured) turns to answer the ghostly voice but discovers no one is there
This can cause total paralysis, accompanied by an intense feeling of fear that can last for several minutes.
What makes this so scary is that hallucinations, a feeling of pressure in the chest, and the feeling of a ‘presence’ in the room are all common and natural side effects of the condition.
This could go a long way toward explaining why Ms. Reeves says she feels like someone is in the room with her during her episodes of sleep paralysis.
However, one clip captured on a Ring camera, which cannot be explained by dust particles or sleep paralysis, was submitted by Rose and Paul Lynch from Hampshire.
The footage appears to show a disembodied voice saying “Morning mate” when no one is around.
Ms. Lynch says, “You see Paul react automatically and then look around in surprise because he can’t see anyone and the nearby voice sounds like it’s right behind him.
“As soon as he got into his work van, which was parked to the right of the video, he called me and asked me to look at the Ring doorbell because he was freaking out a little.”
While skeptics may have their own interpretation, to Ms. Fielding this is strong evidence that paranormal activity is taking place.
Mrs Fielding says: ‘It can be quite frightening to hear an unexpected voice at your door, especially when no one is there.
“Hearing disembodied voices is a sign of a possible haunting in or around the house, so there could very well be something paranormal going on here.”
Fortunately, if you encounter something that seems paranormal this Halloween, Ms. Fielding says there are a few simple steps you can take.
‘The very first thing you should do is talk out loud to the spirit in the house. You have to be firm, direct but respectful,” she said.
“Ask them politely to stop and that you mean them no harm or disrespect.”
She adds that it is important to capture the incident on video and keep a careful diary of everything that happened at the time.
This ensures that you can prove that what happened is real, or that you can find a natural explanation for the strange events.
And if the polite approach fails, Ms. Fielding says you should seek the help of a professional to address your ghost problem head-on.
She concludes: ‘If this doesn’t help, call in a professional paranormal investigation group. Make sure you do your research before hiring a company.”
