Partner’s heartbreaking new tribute to Aussie boyfriend who was murdered alongside his brother and American friend in Mexico

The heartbroken partner of one of the two Perth brothers murdered in Mexico has shared a moving tribute to her friend six months after his death.

Emily Horwath, Callum Robinson’s American partner, shared a series of photos on Monday from the time she spent with Callum’s parents.

Callum, 33, his brother Jake, 30, and American friend Jack Carter Rhoad, 30, were killed in an alleged botched carjacking in April while on a surfing trip near Ensenada in Baja California, on Mexico’s northwest coast.

Ms Horwath’s first photo was a loved-up photo of the couple with the caption: ‘Six months without you, I miss you endlessly.’

Other photos were shared from the American’s time with the Robinsons’ parents in Perth, Martin and Debra, during the Hawaii Lacrosse Tournament.

Callum had played professional lacrosse in the American Premier League and represented Australia at the world championships.

In another post, she was seen doing a ‘shoey’ – a popular Australian tradition – from a sports boot, insisting she could only do it for Callum.

She also reposted a touching video of Lacrosse players standing shoulder to shoulder in the shape of a heart with a number 10 in the center, paying tribute to their teammate.

The parents told Nine News last month that they ‘no longer have a family’.

“We had these dreams, like any parent does for their children,” Robinson said.

“Now they’re not going to happen anymore and we have to adapt to the fact that we no longer have a family.”

“We miss them very much,” Mrs. Robinson said.

Jake and Callum were surfing and camping with Mr. Rhoad in a particularly remote stretch of Baja California coast earlier this year.

Authorities were alerted to their disappearance after the discovery of their burned-out white Chevrolet Colorado near the small town of Santo Tomas, according to police evidence submitted to the Ensenada attorney general’s office.

Their family raised the alarm when they failed to check into an Airbnb days earlier.

At their campsite, police collected alleged evidence, including tent poles, gun casings, plastic bottles, bloodstains and drag marks, in the area where they were believed to have camped.

Days later, their bodies were recovered from a 50-foot-deep well in a remote area near their campsite. An effort that took the local authorities more than twelve hours.

The suspect was charged in Mexican court in May for the alleged murder of the three men

In May, a Jesús Gerardo ‘N’ stood before a Mexican court, where the judge read out the state’s case after their investigations.

According to reports, the suspect’s then-girlfriend, Ari Gisell, was a witness in the prosecution case.

Ari claimed that her then-boyfriend admitted to killing the men before. Prosecutors also allege he showed her new tires on his own car that he lifted from the Australians’ vehicle.

The attorney general’s office released a statement after the hearing claiming that men, including the suspect, approached the surfers with the aim of stealing their car.

“They were surprised by Jesus Gerado ‘N’ and other people with the intention of stealing their vehicle and the response of the victims killed them,” the statement said.
