Kate Middleton sends heartwarming letter to cancer survivor actress following her own recovery

A Bollywood star has revealed the sweet response she received from the Princess of Wales after writing to her about her battle with cancer.

Manisha Koirala, 54, who has starred in dozens of Hinid and Tamil films, revealed that she messaged Kate Middleton after it was revealed in March that she was battling cancer.

“I wanted to contact HRH The Princess of Wales to send my good wishes, especially because of my own experiences,” she told Nepali media.

‘I am deeply saddened to receive such a warm response from her and wish her all the best in health.’

Manisha, who was born in Biratnagar, Nepal but works mainly in India, was treated for ovarian cancer in 2012 and cleared a year later.

“I want to use my voice not only to support cancer patients, but also to raise awareness about the need for equitable access to healthcare and the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.

“Having dealt with cancer myself, I know how isolating and challenging the journey can be, and I believe it is essential that we all play a role in changing that reality for others,” she told The Nepalese publication Khabar.

Last month, the Princess of Wales revealed she had completed her ‘preventive chemotherapy’ course following her health crisis earlier this year and plans to undertake a ‘light programme’ of public engagements in the coming months.

However, she warns that ‘doing what I can to stay cancer-free is my focus now’ and admitted that the past nine months have been a ‘scary and unpredictable’ time for her family.

The experience, Catherine said, reminded her and her husband, Prince William, to “reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted.” Of simply loving and being loved.’

The Princess’s personal message to the nation was accompanied by a stunning three-minute video showing her and William in Norfolk with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, which was filmed last month.

It showed the family happily playing on the beach and in the woods, with William and Catherine entwined on a blanket, hugging – and kissing – their children.

While there has been no official statement from Buckingham Palace, it is believed that the King and Queen have greeted the announcement as ‘great news’ and will continue to offer all love, thoughts and support to the Princess as she continues her path to full recovery.

In her post, the Princess said: ‘As summer comes to an end, I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

‘The past nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family.

“Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and unknown roads.”

The Princess of Wales recently visited Southport to meet families affected by the horrific stabbing attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July.

In her most significant engagement yet this year, Kate, 42, joined Prince William to meet the families of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine.

Arriving in Southport as the autumn afternoon sun shone, the princess, who has undergone several months of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, looked beautiful in a berry ensemble. William, in a nod to his wife, also wore a berry sweater.

The royal wore a Whistles Margot polka dot dress from the retailer’s 2018 collection, which cost £159 at the time, and appeared to have added a bow detail to the collar.

She paired the dress with a structured pea coat from her favorite designer Alexander McQueen. Kate accessorized with her Gold Fern Drop Earrings by Catherine Zoraida, which cost £165.

Kate previously wore her structured pea coat to the Earthshot Awards in Boston when she traveled to the US to support Prince William in December 2022.

During the Waleses’ visit, the couple also spent time with dance teacher Leanne Lucas, 35, who was seriously injured while protecting youngsters when they were attacked by a knifeman during a Taylor Swift-themed summer holiday class.

The couple then spoke to care providers who were present and helped on the day.

Prince William had promised the families and local community that he would visit as soon as possible and his visit had long been planned for today.
