Giants QB Daniel Jones suffers furious meltdown after comical two-point conversion attempt in Steelers loss
Daniel Jones epitomized the New York Giants’ ongoing frustrations by having an on-field meltdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Late in the Monday Night Football showdown, the lack of urgency on Brian Daboll’s part was clearly visible as the Giants’ offense blew up a two-point conversion.
New York stood at the door of the end zone after their first touchdown in 24 drives. Jones threw the ball to wide receiver Malik Nabers, who was tackled by John Leglue before he could catch the pigskin.
After the failed conversion, Jones had an outburst on the field, when he began shouting at his sideline and waving his arms in frustration before ripping off his helmet.
Daboll was also seen shouting his shouts after the blunder prevented them from closing an eight-point deficit with 11 minutes remaining.

The margin remained the same as the game ended with a score of 26-18, handing the Giants their third straight loss in their 2-6 season.
Jones completed 24 of his 38 attempts for 264 yards and an interception. Kicker Greg Joseph would be responsible for 12 of New York’s points, while Tyrone Tracy Jr. rushed for their only touchdown.
The Giants appeared to be within range of a comeback before Jones was intercepted by Beanie Bishop Jr. with 34 seconds left, putting the game to bed.
With the loss, Jones is now 1-15 in primetime games – with the worst winning percentage in nationally televised games for any quarterback since 1970.

As Jones’ struggles continued, Russell Wilson completed 20 of 28 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown to lead Pittsburgh to victory. Bishop and Calvin Austin III would also be responsible for touchdowns.
Kicker Chris Boswell also contributed 14 points after completing all four field goal attempts.
The win moved Pittsburgh to a 6-2 record as they prepared to face the Commanders on November 10.
Washington will also face the Giants on November 3 before taking on the Steelers.
