Gemma Collins wraps herself in duct tape as she recreates Kim Kardashian’s iconic Balenciaga look

She is never one to shy away from bold fashion statements.

And Gemma Collins went out of the box again on Monday when she shared a video of her being covered from head to toe in bright pink duct tape.

The TV personality, 41, appeared to be blackmailing Kim Kardashian in the post as she recreated the American star’s iconic Balenciaga tape look earlier this year.

Gemma stood in a form-fitting black catsuit for the video, her bouncy blonde locks pulled away from her face in an updo.

Starting with her legs, a team of four then began wrapping pink duct tape around her body as the star stood patiently.

As they made their way up, the team wrapped all the way up to Gemma’s neck before stopping – with Britney Spears’ Gimme More playing over the video.

And it seems there was a reason for the fashion statement, with the band ‘GC Podcast’ on it.

While Gemma teased in the caption “It’s what you’ve all been waiting for something really exciting LAUNCHING WEDNESDAY.”

The look kicked off in March when Kim Kardashian stepped out covered in bright yellow duct tape with Balenciaga on it in black lettering for the brand’s fall 2022 ready-to-wear show.

And Gemma isn’t alone in recreating the famous look, with Lizzo appearing on the cover of Elle months later in the exact same ensemble.

The singer advertised her hit song About Damn Time and also took to Instagram to share snaps in the tape ensemble.

“I’M A RIDICULOUS PEOPLE… JUST STREAM ‘ABOUT DAMN TIME’ AND DON’T ASK QUESTIONS,” Lizzo joked in the caption.
