Dodgers star Freddie Freeman makes World Series history against the Yankees

Freddie Freeman wrote his name in the baseball history books on Monday evening with another home run against the New York Yankees.

Freeman won Game 1 of the World Series with a dramatic walk-off grand slam before breaking the fence again as the Los Angeles Dodgers took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

As the action moved toward the Bronx, the 35-year-old picked up where he left off in Game 3, belting a two-run homer in the first inning.

It saw the Dodgers take an early 2-0 lead. It also meant that Freeman joined George Springer as the only players in MLB history to homer in five consecutive World Series games.

According to baseball statistician Ryan Spaeder, Freeman has a .906 batting average during the World Series – the best of anyone who has played in more than one series.
