Mystery as top female influencer of bodybuilding dies suddenly just days after celebrating her 35th birthday

A Panamanian bodybuilding influencer with nearly 46,000 Instagram followers has mysteriously died just days after celebrating her 35th birthday.
The family of Johanna Perez, known to her followers as Johafit, confirmed her death in a social media post.
‘On October 23, our beloved Johanna Perez found eternal peace. Her kindness and joy live on in our hearts,” they said.
Her family invited her followers and friends to join them at a service taking place today to “honor her beautiful soul,” asking attendees to wear colorful clothes to pay tribute to the “vibrant spirit” of the influencer.
They did not give a reason for Johanna’s unexpected death.

Perez’s cause of death is unknown
The health influencer and professional bodybuilder was one of the first women to compete in bodybuilding tournaments in her native Panama, and had won several awards during her career.
She ventured into digital content creation and launched a successful Instagram page where she promoted nutrition and fitness tips.
Just days before her death, the bodybuilder had shared a photo of her flexing her muscles on a beach on her birthday, alongside two birthday balloons that read “35.”
She wrote, “Thank you God for giving me another wonderful and magical year of life, may it be filled with love, health, desire, money, happiness, strength and peace.
“Thank you for letting me do what I love every day, surrounded by amazing people, adding incredible experiences and fulfilling all my goals little by little.”

Perez’s death has shocked her followers, with several paying tribute to the bodybuilder.
One fan wrote, “Without knowing you, I mourn the loss of you, knowing I won’t find your good content anymore.”
Another said: ‘You could see how beautiful she was inside. May she rest in peace’.
It is unclear whether authorities are investigating the cause of death.
It comes a month after a teenage bodybuilder was found dead at his home in Brazil after suffering a heart attack.
Matheus Pavlak, 19, had transformed his body in just five years after taking up the grueling sport to overcome his obesity.
He had posted photos and video footage of his remarkable body transformation on social media.
