Six Strings Brewery explosion in Erina: Woman rushed to hospital
A woman is in critical condition after surviving a gas explosion at a brewery.
After emergency services arrived at the Six Strings Brewery in Erina on the NSW central coast just after 11.30am on Monday, they found the woman in her 20s suffering from both burns and blast injuries.
It is believed a gas explosion occurred at the Chiltern Road address, and NSW Fire and Rescue extinguished several fires at the location.
It is believed that all the walls of the brewery were blown away by the explosion.

The injured woman was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital by specialist paramedics in a Care Flight helicopter.
Six Strings Brewery posted on Facebook on Monday afternoon that the explosion occurred in the kitchen.
“A gas explosion caused serious burns to a member of our kitchen staff,” it said.
‘Thanks to the quick response of our team on site, the emergency services were immediately contacted.
‘We are not clear on the severity of the burn but our thoughts are with her and we hope to have an update as she is assessed by medical professionals.’
The police are investigating the cause of the explosion.
