The winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or will be officially announced in Paris on Monday evening.
It is only the third time since 2007 that the men’s prize has gone to someone other than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, with neither of these aging superstars shortlisted this year.
The official unveiling of the new winner will be confirmed on Monday at the glitzy awards ceremony, which will start at around 7pm (UK time).
But the result may have already been leaked when a list of the top 12 players based on voting points went viral on social media on Sunday.
The unconfirmed list shows Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior as the winner with 630 points – 54 more than Manchester City midfielder Rodri in second place.

Spain and Man City ace Rodri, pictured after winning Euro 2024, has apparently finished second
Lionel Messi is the current holder of the men’s Ballon d’Or but was not shortlisted this year
Jude Bellingham is third, while two other England stars are also in the top eight: Harry Kane in fifth and Phil Foden in eighth.
Kylian Mbappe is fourth, Lamine Yamal seventh, while Dani Olmo, Florian Wirtz, Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger are ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth respectively.
But perhaps surprisingly, Man City goal machine Erling Haaland is only sixth on the list with 195 points.
Haaland – who finished second behind Messi in 2023 – scored 38 goals in 45 games for City last season.

Vinicius was widely tipped as the favorite to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or after playing a brilliant starring role for Madrid last season as they won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
The Brazilian, 24, provided six goals and four assists in 10 Champions League games last season, as well as a further 20 goals in 26 La Liga games.
