Kamala admits her biggest weakness – as experts say it’s why voters are flocking to Trump

Kamala Harris admitted she’s not good at thinking while being questioned by the audience at a CNN town hall this week – as polls suggest voters are turning to Trump.

Retailer Joe Donahue asked the vice president “what weaknesses do you bring to the table and how do you plan to overcome them?” during the live event on Wednesday.

Harris, 60, responded that she “sometimes doesn’t have the answer quickly” about “a specific policy issue” because she likes to “research” it first.

‘I want to study it. I’m a bit of a nerd sometimes, I have to admit,” Harris said.

“Some might call that a weakness, especially if you’re in a job interview or just asked a certain question and you’re expected to have the right answer right away. But that’s how I work.’

Harris also suggested that she may be too dependent on her team to make decisions during her lengthy response to the question.

“I’m certainly not perfect,” the presidential candidate said.

‘I think maybe, a weakness that some would say, which I actually think is a strength, is that I really value having a team of very smart teams around me that bring different perspectives to my decision-making process.

“My team will tell you that I constantly say, let’s get into that.”

Harris said her previous role as California’s attorney general made her realize that her words have a widespread impact on people’s lives.

“So I take my role and responsibility as an elected leader very seriously, and I know the impact this has on so many people I may never meet,” she said.

‘That’s why I involve and bring people along.’

It comes as a series of new polls show the race for the White House turning in favor of former President Donald Trump and against Vice President Kamala Harris, with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.

Trump is campaigning in Nevada, while Harris heads to Georgia on Thursday for a rally alongside former President Obama before both presidential candidates make a stop in Texas on Friday.

More than 29 million people voted early or by mail in the 2024 elections.

But a new Wall Street Journal poll released Thursday shows the Republican presidential candidate with a three-point lead over the vice president nationally.

The poll puts Trump at 47 percent and Harris at 45 percent among registered voters. That’s a reversal from the Wall Street Journal’s August polls.

In the CNBC All-America Economic Survey, Trump also leads 48 to 46 percent.

In the seven battleground states likely to decide the election, the CNBC poll shows Trump with a 48 percent lead among voters, compared to Harris’ 47 percent.

In that poll, economic issues remain the biggest concern for voters. When it comes to prioritizing inflation, the economy and the needs of the middle class, Trump has a strong advantage.

The poll found that 42 percent of voters said they would be better off financially if Trump wins, compared to just 24 percent who said the same if Harris wins.

Another 29 percent said their financial situation will not change regardless of who wins the White House.
