Stephen A. Smith reveals who he’ll vote for during tense confrontation over Donald Trump on Fox show
Stephen A. Smith has suggested he will vote for Kamala Harris after admitting he would have sided with “almost any Republican” except Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
The ESPN host appeared on Fox Thursday night and argued with Sean Hannity, who desperately tried to defend Trump’s mental state.
The 57-year-old sports expert was called in to discuss Vice President Kamala Harris’ run for the Oval Office, but found himself attacking Trump after Hannity suggested the Democratic nominee has difficulty speaking in public.
During the interview, Hannity also appeared to claim that Smith would vote for Trump “privately.”
That is despite Smith telling the Los Angeles Times last month that he thinks Harris will win the White House.

Speaking about his voting preference, Smith explained: “I told you I’m on the record.
“I would have voted for almost any Republican except him. Nikki Haley. Chris Christie. But not him.’
Smith received a furious response from Hannity when they argued about Trump’s mental state with less than two weeks to go before America goes to the polls.
“She has to give us word salads because she won’t tell us how she really feels. She is hiding her true beliefs,” Hannity said. “Donald Trump doesn’t do that.”
Trump has recently had a series of on-stage blunders at events, including an event with Smith’s former ESPN colleague Sage Steele, who was dubbed “Paige” by the former president. He also canceled some events this week due to reports of exhaustion.
“I know you’re not talking about someone who is clear and convincing and articulates his thoughts clearly, and you’re bragging about Donald Trump,” Smith said. ‘We can’t look at the same things you do.
“You’re not going to do that today.”
Trump and Kamala Harris are involved in an extremely close race for the White House
Smith, who has criticized liberal and conservative politicians over the years, was quick to note that another Hannity guest, Sen. Lindsey Graham, “can express herself very well.”
He then added, “Not Donald Trump now.”
Hannity tried to intervene, but only managed to spin his wheels when Smith put his hand on his chin and grinned into the camera.
“I’ve sat with him hour after hour after hour, topic after topic after topic, and he’s so engaged,” Hannity said.
Again, Smith wasn’t having it.
‘Real?’ he asked. “Didn’t he cancel his press conferences?”
Smith made it clear that he is not against the Grand Old Party as a whole, but refuses to listen to Hannity defend Trump’s integrity.
“If you’re bringing up issues in terms of character, or in terms of truthfulness, or whatever, let me tell you something right now: You can bring a whole group of Republicans with you and I’ll have no problem with it,” he said. he. “You can’t bring up Trump and use those arguments to build a case against someone else.”
