Man United have now gone a whole YEAR without a win in Europe… the stats that shame Erik ten Hag’s side after Fenerbahce draw
When Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday evening, Erik ten Hag’s side recorded an unwanted record.
It has now been a whole calendar year since United achieved victory in European football.
That success came on October 24, 2023, when United won 1-0 at home against Copenhagen in the Champions League.
On that occasion, Harry Maguire scored the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute, with Andre Onana saving a penalty from Jordan Larsson in stoppage time.
Since then, United have failed to record a win in either the Champions League or the Europa League. Here’s a look at the stats behind United’s dismal run.

The Red Devils will undoubtedly dream of repeating their last victory against Copenhagen
In those six games, United were defeated twice and drew four.
The goal conceded has been a major problem for Ten Hag’s team in Europe, as evidenced by the fact that they have conceded thirteen goals in six games.
United managed to score eleven times in those six games, but were still unable to achieve a win.
Ten Hag’s side currently sit 21st in the Europa League and have work to do if they want to reach the next stage of the competition.
United are enjoying the longest winless streak in Europe since 1983. They will look to end that streak on November 7 when they play PAOK at home.
Furthermore, United have recorded just one win in their last eleven European matches, something Ten Hag will certainly have to rectify if he wants to remain in charge.
United’s winless run in Europe started with the second leg against Copenhagen, which they lost 4–3.
That was followed by a 3-3 draw against Galatasaray and a 1-0 defeat at home to Bayern Munich.

United have endured constant frustration in European matches over the past year
This season has also been a struggle in Europe so far, including draws against Twente, Porto and Fenerbahce.
After the 3-3 draw against Porto earlier this month, Maguire suggested United have a ‘mental problem’ in Europe.
Maguire told TNT Sports: “I think it’s more of a mental thing, it’s about belief.
“It’s something we need to be aware of and make sure that when we give in, we stick together and regroup.”
