Man arrested after woman’s body is found on a rural NSW property
A man has been arrested after a woman’s body was found at a rural property in NSW.
Emergency services were called to the Henry St property in Gunnedah, north-central NSW, at around 8.20am on Friday after reports of welfare concerns.
Upon arrival, police found the body of a woman, believed to be in her 50s.
She has yet to be formally identified.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he assisted police.
Based on initial investigation, the police assume that the man and woman are known to each other.
A crime scene has been established, which will be forensically examined by specialized police. A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
