Jay-Z is selling limited champagne bottles at a VERY pricey amount

Jay-Z’s champagne brand Armand de Brignac has announced its first vintage offering, called Blanc de Noirs Vintage 2015.

A 1.5-liter magnum bottle – a limited edition item – will go on sale in November for $3,400, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The drinks brand owned by the 54-year-old rapper and mogul – who is married to Beyoncé – produced a scarce 1,258 bottles, complete with French pewter labels applied by hand.

The wine rested in cellars for more than seven years before being released on Feb. 8, the release said.

Blanc de Noirs Vintage 2015 combines flavors including notes of almond, cinnamon, plum, strawberry and clementine.

There’s also a hint of violet flower in the rich pour, described as a ‘symphony of flavours’.

The brand teased that a single sip ends in a “pleasant and elegant length, with hints of gingerbread, orange and the refined essence of licorice.”

The taste reflects the weather of 2015, which consisted of a rainy spring and a dry, warm summer.

The new drink joins other Armand de Brignac offerings including Demi-Sec, a Gold Brut, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs Assemblage No. 4.

It comes after Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, sold a 50% stake to Moët Hennessy, the wine and spirits arm of LVMH, three years ago.

Carter’s longtime partner, entertainer and entrepreneur Beyoncé, launched a whiskey called SirDavis in August.

The brand name pays tribute to the star’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a successful moonshiner living in the South during Prohibition.

Announcing her latest venture two months ago, she said: ‘I have always been drawn to the strength and confidence I feel when I drink quality whiskey and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling.’

The singer-songwriter continued, “When I discovered that my great-grandfather was a moonshiner, it felt like my love for whiskey was meant to be. SirDavis is for me a way to pay tribute to him and unite us through a new shared legacy.

‘In collaboration with Moët Hennessy, we have created a delicious American whiskey that respects tradition, but also allows people to experience something new and unique in this category. You taste it better than I could ever tell you – welcome, SirDavis.”

The spirit gives a nod to Beyonce’s Texas roots with a horse logo and was finished, blended and bottled in the state.

‘Here the complexity of rye is combined with the elegance of malted barley. Finished to perfection in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, a harmony of spices with sublime hints of fruit,” the website describes.
