Tyreek Hill posts cryptic tweet after DeAndre Hopkins trade to Chiefs

Minutes after DeAndre Hopkins’ impending trade to the Kansas City Chiefs became public news, former team wide receiver and current Miami Dolphin Tyreek Hill posted a cryptic tweet.

Hill had been among those rumored for a trade to Kansas City, which would have reunited him with the Chiefs, where he won two Supers Bowls before being traded to Miami last year.

Hill was thought to be on the trade block despite his huge contract due to the Dolphins’ disappointing season.

Miami is 2-4 and looks sluggish without injured quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered his fourth concussion in five years in Week 2 and hasn’t played since.

Of course, there’s no direct mention of Hopkins or the Chiefs, but the timing is suspicious.

Hill addressed the rumors earlier this month that he might be traded back to the Chiefs.

‘I just focus on the here and now. We have a wonderful team here and I want to be part of it. We have a great situation here. My family loves it,” Hill said.

“We all know the NFL is a business, whatever happens, happens. In the future I would like to be here, I love being here. I love the boys.’

Hopkins was traded from the Titans on Wednesday for a fifth-round pick who could improve based on playing time.

It marks the third straight season the Chiefs have acquired a wide receiver at the trade deadline after Kadarius Toney and Mecole Hardman entered the fold in 2022 and last season, respectively.
