Marvel star playfully reacts to rumors she was axed from Deadpool & Wolverine: ‘Ryan Reynolds fired me’
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s hit film Deadpool & Wolverine featured a number of cameos, including Jennifer Garner’s Elektra and Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
Before the film’s release in July, She-Hulk: Attorney of Law star Tatiana Maslany, 39, was also rumored to have filmed a cameo.
However, it was later claimed that her scenes had been cut from the film and that she had reacted angrily to the news.
The actress has now responded humorously to the wild messages, joking that it was 48-year-old leading man Reynolds who “fired” her and that she is now “suing Disney.”
She mocked the rumors while appearing on television Comedy Bang Bang: the podcastwhich states, “I was in Deadpool & Wolverine. I had two scenes in it. And then Ryan Reynolds fired me from the show because he said, ‘I don’t like these scenes.'”

“Now I’m suing Disney,” she added.
She also joked that her scenes were cut because she was too “woke,” referencing those who criticized her She-Hulk series.
“I always talk about how much I hate Wolverine and Deadpool. I talk about it all the time.’
“I also wish I would just sit down and stop pushing my feminist agenda and realize that Deadpool & Wolverine made a lot of money and She-Hulk only made $3.”
“That’s why they got rid of me because I had a wakeful agenda,” she joked sarcastically.
Maslany’s Jennifer Walters has been absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the release of the Disney+ TV series She-Hulk in 2022, which received mixed reviews.
