Nat Barr left physically stunned during Sunrise interview – and is forced to compose herself live on air

Nat Barr has folded her hands in grief after hearing a sad story about a Melbourne couple who had more than $15,000 worth of belongings – including treasured photo albums – stolen in a brazen daylight robbery.

Joanna Sinz and Archie Grant said goodbye to family in the northern suburb of Fitzroy on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of a move interstate.

As they said their goodbyes, both of their cars, packed with moving supplies, were parked on the street.

But when they saw Ms Sinz’s bag on the ground, they saw two thieves searching their vehicles.

The perpetrators smashed the window of the first car and took the spare keys from the glove compartment before breaking into their Subaru XV sedan which was parked on a nearby street.

The couple sprinted over in an attempt to foil the robbery, but they were too late.

Ms Sinz managed to remove the shoes of one of the perpetrators before they ran away.

“I remember shouting, ‘This is all, this is all we have… don’t take it,’” Grant said. 7News.

Everything the couple owned was in the Subaru, including a TV, laptop and iPad worth up to $15,000 and treasured items such as family photos.

They told Barr on Thursday morning that Victoria Police had found the car, but none of their belongings.

“Completely empty, not even any photos they wanted to leave,” Ms. Sinz said.

The Sunrise presenter was stunned by the couple’s loss.

“Oh, did they take your pictures?” Barr asked, folding her hands and wincing.

“I’m so sorry guys,” she added.

Daily Mail Australia approached Victoria Police for comment.
