Father-of-four Luke Vella dies in workplace accident months before wedding to high school sweetheart

A young mother planning her wedding mourns the loss of her fiancé after a tragic workplace accident.

NSW father-of-four Luke Vella was killed in a workplace accident in Western Australia earlier this week.

A GoFundMe was created to cover funeral costs and the cost of returning Mr Vella’s body to NSW.

According to the online fundraiser, Mr Vella and his fiancée Bec were high school sweethearts and planned to get married in March next year.

The couple had been together for 15 years.

Mr. Vella was a devoted father of four children, Zavier, Ally, Mason and Ryan, all under the age of 10.

As well as helping with Mr Vella’s funeral costs, the funds raised will ‘ensure Bec and the children have the resources they need at this incredibly difficult time’.

“This loss has devastated our family, and any donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards supporting Bec and her children as they meet the challenges ahead,” the fundraiser reads.
