Nicole Kidman, 57, reveals she had to pause filming erotic drama Babygirl as she didn’t want to ‘orgasm’ anymore
Nicole Kidman has admitted she was so excited filming erotic drama Babygirl that she had to pause filming at one point.
The 57-year-old actress stars in the upcoming erotic film opposite The Iron Claw star Harris Dickinson, 28.
In the film, Nicole plays a powerful, married corporate boss who falls in love with a kinky young intern.
And according to The sunIn a revealing new interview, Nicole said performing the scenes with Harrison and Antonio Banderas, as her husband Jacob, was often too much to handle.
Nicole started by saying, “There was a tremendous amount of sharing, trust and then frustration. It’s like, “Don’t touch me.”

‘There were times when we were filming and I thought, “I don’t want to have an orgasm anymore.”

‘It was so present for me all the time that it almost seemed like a burnout.’
Babygirl hits theaters in the US on Christmas Day.
The film follows powerful CEO Romy (Kidman) who jeopardizes her career and life’s work when she begins an intense affair with her young intern Samuel (Dickinson).
The Big Little Lies star said she was drawn to the project because it was “an area.” [she’d] never been in her career.
She explained: ‘I’ve always been searching as an actor, I’m always going, where haven’t I been? And what can I discover as a person? And this was an area I had never been to before.”
The Hollywood star, 57, has already received rave reviews for her performance following the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where she was named Best Actress.
The trailer shows how the relationship unfolds, from their first contact to their various encounters, and shows how Nicole’s character becomes increasingly ‘liberated’ through the steamy contacts.
The trailer starts with Romy seeing Samuel for the first time on the street, after he calms down a dog that had run towards her.
Viewers then get a glimpse into Romy’s life as she balances her career with family, from caring for her children to her relationship with her adoring husband Jacob (Antonio Banderas).

The duo begins a steamy relationship
“Aren’t you supposed to be at work yet?” he asks her as her husband plants a kiss on her cheek.
“Being a CEO means working together and caring,” she muses. “Everyone is just waiting for me to collapse under the pressure.”
Once at work, she meets the new class of interns, which happens to include the young man who helped her with the dog.
The sexual tension is palpable from the start as she asks Samuel how he managed to calm the dog down.
During a one-on-one conversation, Samuel interviews Romy about her work and he doesn’t hold back any punches.
“I see myself as a…” Romy begins before Samuel interrupts him. ‘Power-hungry personality?’ he asks.
Stunned, Romy answers: ‘Do you think that’s me?’
“I think you like being told what to do,” Samuel replies before apologizing. “That was incredibly inappropriate,” he says.
“Your behavior is unacceptable,” says Romy. ‘Is that so?’ Samuel asks before they share their first kiss, which begins their affair.
Samuel says, “If we’re going to do this, we need to establish some rules that you and I both agree on.
“First of all, I tell you what to do and you do it.”
The trailer offers a glimpse of a whole series of romps during the couple’s breathtaking affair, and during one appointment, Samuel orders Romy to get on her knees.
‘No! What!?’ she says, before he demands, “Now get on your knees,” and chuckles, “Is that what you want?”
As the affair continues, Romy says to Samuel: ‘You are still very young. I don’t want to hurt you.’
But Samuel reminds her, “I think I have power over you. Because I can make one call and you lose everything. Does it turn you on when I say that?’
Kidman has described it as the most “exposing” performance she has ever given – which, considering 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut, is quite a claim.
To her surprise, Samuel shows up at her home and is already sitting at the dining table with her family when she enters the room.
“Oh hey,” he says. “You forgot your laptop at the office.”
It seems that Romy has started to radiate a different energy since she started the affair that her husband picked up.
“You seem liberated,” says Romy’s husband.
“I’ve never experienced anything like this,” she whispers, ending the preview on a precarious note.
Babygirl will be released on December 25, 2024 in the United States and January 10, 2025 in the United Kingdom.
