Weight loss, braces, teeth whitening and a whole lot of needles: Inside Sam Burgess and Lucy Graham’s wedding glow up
Sam Burgess and his wife Lucy Graham literally glowed as they got married in Rome, Italy, on Sunday.
The former NRL star and his sweetheart looked picture-perfect as they tied the knot at Villa Aurelia – a 17th century Baroque property at the highest point within the walls of Rome.
Lucy spent months preparing for her big day by having micro-needling done to improve the appearance of her skin.
The minimally invasive procedure, which involves inserting fine, short needles into the skin, helps minimize fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and enlarged pores.
In May, the 33-year-old shared a photo of her glowing skin after the cosmetic procedure.
“I’ve been visiting the girls at Palm Tree Skin Monthly since we returned to the UK seven months ago,” she wrote at the time.
‘I went to Victoria looking sun damaged, hormonal and dull with so much dead skin cells, but after following a tailor-made treatment plan my skin feels better than it has in a long time.’
‘A favorite treatment of mine is Micro Needling. The result is immediately noticeable (even if it is still a little red at first) and it gets even better over time.’

Lucy also revealed her noticeably fuller cheeks and toned face, possibly as a result of other injectables such as Botox and/or filler.
It looked like she also had some teeth whitening done, which showed off her shiny smile in photos from their wedding.
Meanwhile, her new husband, also Sam, showed off his new smile after correcting a glitching front tooth he’s had for years.
Sam showed off a set of clear braces while on holiday with Lucy in June.
And the sports star couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he showed off his new teeth on his wedding day.
The former Rabbitohs star also appeared slimmed down in his wedding photos, compared to 2022 when he and Lucy first started dating.
Lucy had also gotten into great shape before their wedding and recently completed the Leeds Marathon in May.
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty also shared a time-lapse video on Instagram of her getting her makeup done ahead of her big day.
In the video, the blonde beauty showed off her natural beauty before the makeup artist deftly applied makeup to her face.

She used Bobbi Brown’s vitamin-enriched serum and Benefit Cosmetic’s eye and face cream before applying the Estee Lauder hydra futurist foundation.
Lucy also used Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess Bronzer, Patrick Ta Beauty’s She’s Blushing Blusher and natural individual lashes.
She wore her matte hair parted for the ceremony and let the loose curls fall over her shoulders.
Lucy looked heavenly on Sunday in a champagne-colored dress by designer Paula Nadal with a structured bodice that ended in a voluminous floor-length skirt.
The blonde beauty added a touch of drama to her look with a long veil that tumbled behind her and also reached the floor as she held a dainty bouquet.

Meanwhile, Sam appeared to channel fictional character James Bond in a tailored black suit paired with a white pocket square.
The couple also made sure one-year-old daughter Robbie was an integral part of the day’s celebrations.
The former Rabbitohs player proposed to Lucy in June last year, just nine months after they made their relationship public.
Sam previously revealed he was extremely nervous when he proposed to the glamorous hairdresser.
Sam also shares two children: daughter Poppy and son Billy with ex-wife Phoebe Burgess. They were married for four years before splitting in 2019.
